I helped design Apex in 2017 and the email i made to keep in touch with the person at Ea was compromised due to 2fa and my phone being destroyed.There are some things i further want to contribute and need to find the person i spoke with.I signed an nda and dont want to violate it by divulging the many contributions that were utilized.The only proof that i have is that i made a post on gamefaq about how PUBG would be much better back in 2017 if it had tactical abilities and someone invited me to a private chat with one other to contribute intellectual properties.I need to change some of the ips contributed as they were to combat the possibilities of Ea being sued with another fifa like lawsuit.I know the influence of every legend if the person who i spoke to is willing to test me.I lost access to the email in 2019 and i dont know how else to contact the Ea representative.They never said they worked for Ea nor respawn and even offered me a position but i declined as i was working full time at that time.They said they work for the parent company of an recently acquired game development company and the other contributor started saying oh its respawn and he works for Ea very excitedly.I would like to contribute more and change some of the ideas i contributed.Thank You!59Views1like4CommentsCenote Cave POI
This area of Storm Point needs a rework. Maybe this area can be some sort of legend town takeover. Overall, it's a boring POI and the zone rarely pulls here. Most players prefer not to drop here even though it has high-tier loot. Personally, I've drop here a lot in Ranked since most teams avoid it. I made a post going a lot more into detail on this topic, but here is a TLDR for it. Anyways, I've went on to think of a rework for SHEILA to make it more than just A MINIGUN, and more of a Utility Weapon. Rampart is known for making some of the famous guns in the games such as The Flatline, The Rampage, the Blueprints to The Nemesis, and of course her pride and joy, SHEILA. Rampart also helped out with upgrades to Valk with her jetpack, Aswell as Conduit with her jammers and shield generators! All this to say, Rampart loves to tinker with things and I'm just saying, SHEILA COULD USE A LITTLE TINKERING IN A FUN WAY!! Onto The Re-Work. Where it would go. What will it do. - Take away the Placeable Turret Toggle for SHEILA, and trade it for a Toggle Fire. - Make the Toggle Fire into a Jet Mode for SHEILA, allowing rampart to thrust herself in the opposite direction of where she is shooting using her Ult. (Think of the April Fools Event with the "insane kickback") - Make the Toggle Fire take 3-8 bullets per shot. - The Jet Mode will take a few bullets before it can fully "take off". - Make this "Rework" a Purple Armor Upgrade! (If it's too much for being just a base kit.) - Adjust the speed of her thrust to be less of an issue as it was in the "April Fools Event" (at the time you could fly so high into the sky you were like a speck lol) One of Rampart's Key Problems is her Setup Time. What I mean by this is her barriers take time to build up, her Sheila needs time to rev up. I wanted to keep that as an intended weakness as Rampart would still need to not only swap to select fire but also burn fuel to start gaining momentum. in this time a player could possibly shoot out Rampart while she is flying and could end up being a free down if the Rampart plays it wrong. So, this would still hold true to rampart needing time to get effect. You could say use "Ramped Up" and you have Sheila covered on setup time, however "Rebuild Module" is honestly just better by every means. With that being said. having this rework be a replacement, or even a combination of the "Ramped Up" upgrade would be an amazing addition to her upgrade system. Aswell as giving "Rebuild Module" a run for its money. Rampart with this upgrade will now need to be more mindful of how much she is burning with SHEILA, and would cause Rampart to be out of bullets for her Ult. Also making rampart more reliant on ultimate accelerants. Why I think this should be in the game, and my personal thoughts. Ive started playing Apex at the start of Season 9 and played almost religiously Rampart since then. Through all the buffs she has received has been an AMAZING improvement, but I don't think it's what Rampart has truly in shop for everyone. - As a controller class, I tend to find that Rampart fits the role of being an Anchor for the team more than a "lock down that building!". Sure, she CAN do that. Certain scenarios require it! But I'm talking about the situations where it's an open field, and its medium-low cover. You would tend to try and build a perimeter with barriers to allow breathing room for the team to so they can actually gain damage and not have us be sitting ducks behind a rock. Moving the barriers from place to place as time goes on and constantly making sure to refresh the barriers as you continue. Rampart having this ability to set up what I'll call "Pivot Points" allows for her and her team to have multiple angles on enemies that need to be destroyed in order for you to get rid of them. Giving Rampart a tool to allow herself to reposition herself back to her team when caught making "Pivot Points" would open a new door to what you can do with rampart as a whole! if the random octane decides to full speed inside the fight, rampart can use her ult to catch up, (-72-98 bullets later) you get my point. -Why would you NOT wanna be able to Adam Smasher someone in a game like Apex Legends. (Yes I'm talking about that one scene in the Cyberpunk Anime, iykyk). Think of it, you fly up using the thruster, swap back to minigun mode, then beam the player on the way down while they try to beam you out of the sky. THAT WOULD BE SO SIIIICCCKKK!! (I HAVE 2 CLIPS OF DOING THIS WITH AXLE'S ULT ITS SO FUNNY) -IT WOULD BE AN AMAZING TIME TO GIVE RAMPART HER HEIRLOOM(MYTHIC) SKIN, Aswell as giving Sheila skins for rampart entirely! - New Weapon Technically. - More ppl playing a character who sits at a .7% pick rate. -Rampart would DEFINITLY do this. you can't tell me I'm wrong. Where I would test this. Worlds Edge has been my personal FAVORITE map to play rampart on, and i think this would be a perfect map to get a look on where to properly place the flying mechanic in terms of speed, velocity, how long you can fire for, etc.. E-District i also think would be a great contender cause i do get a feeling it was a map designed to try and keep rampart in mind. I’m writing to strongly request the return of Arenas (and Arenas Ranked) in Apex Legends. Arenas was removed around 14 seasons ago due to cheater concerns and playerbase splitting with BR. However, the situation today is completely different, and the reasons for its removal are no longer valid. Why Arenas should return now Anti-cheat and security improvements Since Arenas was removed, anti-cheat systems have significantly improved across the game. While no system is perfect, cheat detection, reporting tools, and account action speed are far stronger than they were during Arenas’ original lifespan. This alone removes one of the biggest reasons it was taken out. Larger and more stable playerbase Apex Legends has maintained a much larger and more stable playerbase over time, especially with cross-platform play now fully established. Queue times and matchmaking health are far better suited to supporting multiple core modes (BR + Arenas) than they were at launch. Arenas provided a pure skill-based experience Arenas offered something unique: Consistent 3v3 fights No RNG loot disadvantage Pure gunskill + ability timing A structured environment for improvement It was one of the best modes for mechanically improving and warming up before ranked BR. Competitive ranked ecosystem gap Arenas Ranked created a second competitive ladder, giving players who didn’t want BR RNG a fair ranked alternative. Right now, that gap is missing. This game has been so good and so balanced for a few seasons. There hasn't been a must have team composition. Nothing has been really overpowered, everything has been balanced. Now, well now. Everything is absolutely broken, again. Who is in charge of making Seer absolutely insanely broken, again, when everyone knew Seer was destroying the game early on. Ballistic, what mastermind thought that it's a good idea to have a legend who can crack people's shields without even firing his weapon? And at the same time preventing you from shooting yours. Then we get to ranked. After split I'm Plat 3. Me ranked games are FILLED with Preds, Masters, Diamond 1 & 2. I'm not even gonna start talking about the cheating issue, especially with controllers.. I know it doesn’t effect the gameplay that much but I wish they would change the lighting on some of the maps, they start to feel so stale specially with no updates to the points of interest on some of the older maps. I feel like changing the sky box and lighting would make them seem fresh and different. I know this is kinda picky but i wish they would change storm points lighting back to its original and kings canyon back to an older version. Since Split 1 is almost over, I'll send in my thoughts. The good points are that they were able to add a new Legend, albeit with some issues, and that Broken Moon has been improved. The only thing I didn't like about Broken Moon was the spaceport. Since what people find offensive about Axle varies from person to person, it's likely that people will find various aspects of this individual problematic. The way to improve the negative feedback regarding this character's tactical and ultimate skills is simple. The solution is to reverse the ultimate skill and tactical skill. Let me explain in more detail. First, let's start with one of the anomalies of Nitrogate. Next, I will list the points I found problematic. I will omit points that I have already mentioned. First, let's explain the initial problem. Due to its nature, Nitro Gate can be used indefinitely, ignoring its cooldown. A similar skill, if I were to give an example here, would be Octane's ultimate skill. You should be aware of this, since you brought up Octane as a point of comparison.However, Octane is an ultimate skill. It's clearly odd that tactical skills and ultimate skills perform at the same level. Next, I will explain the second problem. This tactical skill has an unusually high durability rating. Even after being weakened, its durability remains exceptionally high. Among tactical skills, only shield-type skills have high durability. This is a reasonable setting considering the nature of shields. However, Axle's Nitro Gate is a movement skill and has a unique setting unlike anything seen before. It's easy to imagine why this happened. It's probably because they simply copied Octane's ultimate ability. Understand the difference between ultimate abilities and tactical abilities, and clearly define the concept behind each skill.
