Buff Concepts for Mirage, Rampart, and Revenant

Mirage

  • While consuming a Med Kit, Shield Battery or Phoenix Kit and standing still for at least 2 seconds, Mirage is cloaked
  • While being revived, Mirage and his "reviver" are cloaked (does not count for Lifeline's drone resurrection)

This should increase Mirage's usefulness in duels and team fights, by further allowing him to outwit and trick his opponents, not necessarily through the use of his clones.

Rampart

  • While deploying, Rampart's amped wall has 75 HP
  • Rampart's amped wall takes a second less to deploy
  • As a part of Rampart's Passive Ability, the Emplaced Minigun has a shorter wind up when being used by her
  • While using the turret, Rampart takes less damage

The buffs to the amped walls should make them much more useful in fights, giving her a unique playstyle. The minigun is too weak for an ultimate ability because of it's long wind up, making it vulnerable to flanks and snipers.

Revenant

  • Revenant has the ability to climb infinitely at a fairly high speed
  • Revenant's hitbox should be smaller
  • Silence has a bigger AOE and slightly further throw speed
  • While in Death Protection, Revenant's allies adopt his Passive Ability

Revenant is in need of some buffs to make him more of a viable attack Legend. These buffs will allow him to sneak up on enemies better, increase his chances of winning duels and team fights and increase his levels of team utility just a little bit.

  • Mirage is extremely useful in fights and does not need a buff. His bamboozle makes rushing and ambushing teams extremely easy, and his revive cloaking is critical for combat revives.

Revenant 100% does not need any buff whatsoever. His silence tactical completely head-slams the scales in combat, his passives give him the ability to effortlessly sneak up on enemies, and his ultimate is just flat out cheap, especially after the totem range was removed. Revenant is literally a meta right now.

Rampart just needs a rework to her amped cover because they're destroyed too easily. Her minigun is hilarious though.

Mirage: I agree that he should be less visible while healing but not completely. I'm thinking of a cloak effect similar to his original ultimate. As for your second point, I think this would be a great buff and one that would make sense. However, I think Mirage is in a pretty good spot right now, and unless his rates go way down, I don't think the buffs should be implemented.

Rampart: I agree with everything you mentioned about ramparts buff. The only thing is maybe closer to 60 or so health on the Amp walls while setting up.

Revenant: I think your first two points are fine and should be implemented. As for your second point, I think his silence is fine, and no changes should be made to his silence, except for the effects going away after he/his squad is killed. While your final point sounds extremely fun, I think his totem is strong enough as is.

  • @SugaryJuice Revenant is my main, I play him all the time. He's obviously really strong but he does have a number of flaws that hold him back, namely his limited Passive and extremely low pick rate/win rate. Whether or not he feels meta, he is going to be getting some buffs, according to one of the game designers.

While not useless, Stalker has limited use. The ability to climb twice as high as everybody else doesn't feel like viable vertical mobility. The ability to crouch-walk faster has its uses, but it's not as good as other Passive Abilities.

Silence is one of the best Tactical Abilities, especially if you hit multiple enemies. Maybe my buff idea might be a bit too much, but I think using Silence as an area-of-denial ability as well as a way to disrupt the enemy would be cool.

Death Totem is only a meta ability in a premade or coordinated squad, because most of the time in solo queue your allies aren't even aware you're rushing with your ultimate. It's also really loud if your targets are near you and if they hide well they can punish your over aggression after Death Protection wears off.

I'm not saying he's bad, mediocre or decent, but I'm not saying he's amazing either. He's either good or great for me, but not part of the meta.

  • I find it interesting that you guys think Mirage doesn't need buffs. I'm sure it's widely accepted he's the worst offense Legend and rated C/D Tier in most tier lists. I don't play the character often, and he's obviously not bad, but I think his utility is outclassed.

His Passive to revive while invisible is great, but that's really the only meta part of his kit. His decoys are only useful in certain situations, when accompanied by smoke or in outdoor areas where it's more difficult to tell if it's a decoy. Additionally he's not too useful in higher tier play, because players in Platinum and above might be much harder to bamboozle.

That's a LOT of assumptions you're making, and ones that, as a diamond-ranked player, I can verify are completely wrong. Mirage WAS the worst offensive legend before his overhaul, which is why he got the overhaul. His decoys can take several shots now, revealing the exact location of everyone that shoots it. His decoys now have footsteps, and with the mimic option, it is impossible to distinguish between the decoy and the player.

Mirage is extremely useful bait-and-switch combat tactics as well misdirecting teams to run away, but the downside is that those things only help Mirage, not the team. He's a solo legend.
