All I know is that it sometimes says "knocked down by" and not "killed by". Just guessing but maybe you got knocked by pjcq1 and finished by Vilkas1991 on a different team? But the dmg is really strange if you are 100% she didnt heal during the fight.

There's no knocking in the event; it's instant death.
Definitely no healing; we were right on top of each other, the damage numbers shown occurred in the space of about 3 seconds.

Here's another example; still the train event, but this time a 100+75hp Lifeline.
36+172 = 208 and she wasn't dead!
It took a further 20 damage to kill her.
Even if she popped a shield cell during the damage, that's still 208-25 = 183 damage, more than enough to kill her.
Hell, even if she'd been standing next to a healing drone(she wasn't), it would've required 2 ticks (2 seconds) to heal her enough to avoid death.
At least this time it managed to correctly record who got the killing blow on me...
I think there's something seriously wrong with the damage reported on the Death Recap screen.
Likely these discrepancies have existed for a long time, and have, for various reasons, simply gone unnoticed in regular Apex.
- 6 years ago@TheJumpingJawa i can assure you that if there was something wrong with damage calculations SOMEONE would have noticed already,
i mean, these Pro players do calculate the damage back to back
