I use grenades myself, usually carry about 2-3 (Arcstars mainly) so I've got nothing against grenades in general it's just how people use them. I have lost three games to grenande spam. People who just wait for the ring to be at its smallest and then pam the circle with grenades. There isn't really anywhere to run or avoid them, expecially if that ring is somewhere close quarters. It happened three times in a row last night before I posted this as if grenade spam was apparently the new meta.
It was always the same thing, me and my squad went to the final circle then out of nowhere grenande spam, we die and it goes to the enemy (now winning) team PoV and thier hiding behind some god damn rock out of view. Grenade after grenade after grenade. Like I said I have nothing against them but some counter-measures for pure spam would be wonderful.
As for "Carrying loads of grenades means they aren't carrying much else" it's simply not true. Two grenades per bag slot (if I remember correctly) meaning three bag slots = 6 grenades. Even with a blue backpack you can have ammo, medkits (2 kits per bag slot) Shield cell (3 cells per bag slot) and 6 grenades and still have room to spare. X that 6 grenades by 3 squad members and you have 18 grenades..and that's only with a blue backpack. Imagine purple or even gold right? You can have a ridiculous amount of grenades and still have plenty of the other things you need.
