Capture the Winter Express Challenge Feedback

Am I the only one who thinks the "Capture the Winter Express" challenge is next to impossible?? It only seems to count if you actually capture it with other teams alive..

personally I love the event mode, but as everyones saying you get bad teammates and have to take it slow, think things through, and clutch it yourself most of the time

the trick is to not rush to the train unless your in the mountain area then the trains the safest place to be as everyone else is fighting it out and distracted, in the other areas just try to maintain highground or just be sneaky with movements and find enemys camping in a spot and get a few shots off on them and get them out of the round

im really not good at fighting usually but in the new event mode all most players do is fire at you or crouch down to fire at you I started doing practically anything lmfao jumping, crouch sliding, punching, even around the center car you can either slide over the box in the middle and slide behind an enemy sometimes, or get behind the box on the outer edge and sneak around I was winning most matches near the start because nobody had game sence or knew what to do, i still end up with players wanting to jumpmaster to the wrong locations like that train stop over in skyhook and they ususally instantly die, but I guess i did the first few rounds too until I understood what to do

Probally my post important tip after winning a round would be to not stay on the train... because either A a team maybe on there with you or jump on with you, and B the next start obviously you are going to be the main target, I always jump off and use the geiser and ping out enemies for my team, but they usually stay on the train and die because they never listen to me... geisers are there for a reason not for just falling off the train, I guess reason C would be that the trains locked at the new stations so why should you try to maintain capturing it if its not time yet... let the other 2 teams fight it out but stay close to contest the train

doing all of this I practically finished the badge in 2 days, the first night I was at 19/75 its 63/75 now Im gonna finish on Wednesday night when I can play again

For a capture to count towards the badge, a round must specifically end with a successful capture.
    - I agree, i didn't say anything different

    - killing all enemies does NOT count
    - I believe it does as Mirage says "well that's one way to do it" or something (i will check tonight).

    - you do NOT need be the one completing the capture, nor do you need to be alive. So long as your team wins, and it was a capture, you'll get credit.
    - I checked this because i had the same concern as you guys, but i seemed to get the recognition when i'm capturing the train, but didn't when i was not on the train a few times.

Ultimatly i find its a fun event.

(all of the above is from a Diamond PC player perspective)
  • I love Mirage's antics so I enjoyed the winter event. I think Mirage is hilarious. I loved his new line, "Get ready for the Mirage train. Octane always says Oc-train and it sounds cool, but when I say it, it sounds like I'm someone's dad." More Mirage. He's the best.

I played the event enough times to get the 3 captures first level badge. It's an interesting scenario and with the right legends it's a lot easier, but someone has to be Caustic, and if you get a Wattson, you're almost there. The problem is when you get people who just don't get the concept of Capture The Flag style game play.

One thing that I would really beg they include into the normal mode is those jump circles that instantly rocket the player up high as a jump tower. Please add those!!!
