I also agree with that entirely. Though I'm surprised to hear you call out console cheating when it still pales compared to the sophistication and scale of PC cheating. But no matter. It's rampant everywhere and it isn't ruining the game. It's already ruined it. It's been ruined for seasons now. Which is why I'm always surprised to hear anyone say that they're out for the season. Next season is never any better. It only gets worse. They announce their drop-in-bucket ban waves and fifteen minutes later everyone they banned is back on a secondary and the wheels on the bus go round and round.
Like some, I wonder if the numbers Respawn is reporting are actually accurate.
73,000 accounts is a huge number of people, and it should be reflected in Steam statistics in some way, but it's actually the opposite – the number of players is increasing.
Moreover, after this "ban wave," I don't see the games being significantly better or more "clean" than before.
For me, something's not right here.
