Rank is FLOODED with cheaters. I keep seeing console players with PC aim (strikepacks/xim), there's way too many wall hackers, and people I've reported a few days, weeks, even months ago are still playing, despite aimbotting.
@Midnight9746What is your evidence for this constant cheating? I've read your posts for a long time regarding it yet I wonder what the difference is vs you landing all your shots. I play pc too and actually think there are less cheaters vs console as console does not show numbers. Every time I die I can see why. Why do you think every match you play has cheaters in it? It is virtually impossible and accuracy is pretty easy to control anyway..
And also, strike pack offers "constant aim" instead of "accurate aim". You can aim better than it can is the normal response to it. The difference is it can allow you to do other things, like jump while not having to think about recoil control or tracking. So, just accurate aim alone is not a reason to suspect cheating. Some can shoot straight with a controller, easy, not that hard, depending on settings and I have yet to see a difference.
edit - if there was any real evidence those players would be banned, but I do not see it? I am not here to choose sides yet I have yet to see it legit happen. And this is coming from someone who does not trust EA/Respawn.

I've actually been lucky enough to speak with a manager in security at EA, on the phone in the past, and the way it was explained to me is that EA does take cheating serious and they do work to correct it, but let's face it, this is big mountain to climb.
It's also my understanding Conor Ford is also always working on cheating for EA. If you don't know who he is Google him.
And I will agree, there is constant cheating the evidence is not something we can simply show you, you just had to of played this game long enough, to understand it fully, it's mechanics and how everything works and I do.
I've been playing since Day 1 with over 3000 hrs in this game, and if I don't know what cheating looks like by now, I might as well hang it up LOL, but I seriously do, and there is a big problem with it in this game, that's a fact.
- 3 years ago@d3bugIT Sure, but the dude posts this cheating issue non-stop (no the op) and also the SMURPH thing.....smurph....ph. There just aren't that many cheaters to go around...it's just not feasible. And smurfs are allowed according to the game rules, although I don't like it either they are not breaking rules. You have that many hours in game - do you see that many cheaters? I'm guessing no.

@Unitee01
Yes, I see cheating all the time, and not sure what you mean by enough to go around.
There is massive cheating in this game, aimbots, silent/psilent, wallhacks, strikepacks, macro scripts, no recoil, etc...
You just have to be experienced as a gamer to spot it in game, some things are more obvious than others.
Bottom Line; The game mechanics only work one way in this game, and when you see things happening that go beyond the level of the gaming mechanics, it's cheating, plain and simple.
Most players I've played with, don't even understand the mechanics of this game, with all the weapons, shields, etc., to fully understand what it actually takes to kill people in a Legit Manner.
Sure, people get lucky all the time beaming people across the map with an R99 as example, but there are very clear signs to when it appears as highly unusal outside the realm of the gaming mechanics, to whether or not it was simply luck or cheating.
AND, the only way for a lot of people to see actual cheating in game, is when faced up against someone that is doing something outside the scope of the gaming mechanics that is obvious, basically never missing a shot with a difficult gun, that has a high level of recoil, and you are jumping, bouncing, strafing and running all over the place, making for an extremely difficult target to shoot and this person is even chasing you never misses a shot. What you would call an extreme case of highly unusal precision, that no one gets lucky with. There are some levels of shooting you don't get lucky with in this game, they simply take a very unusal extreme high level of skill to acheive, and then, even the pros rarely pull off such moments. Yet in Apex, you see all these so called low level players, hardly a badge to their name, a few kills and wins, and kill everyone around them, like they are a Top Level Pred in this game, nope sorry, complete BS.
And then there's the insane level of speed in which you are being killed with silent or pslient and no recoil, yes true! Does anyone even know the differences between an Aimbot and Silent and Pslient, I do, and when someone has Silent or Pslient with no recoil, you kill someone faster, than you can do it legit. That is what I mean by the Gaming Mechanics. Silent/Psilent combined with no recoil will kill you faster then the actual gaming mechanics allow for when you are a legit player, meaning legit players kill slower.

IMO, he says it all in the title: cheating AND smurfing. To the average player in this game the one is indistinguishable from the other. Is the OP constantly squaring off against actual cheaters? Probably not. But it's pretty obvious, especially this season, that Respawn has abandoned all pretense at matching players based on skill. So when a normal player has fifteen consecutive matches where he is expected to square off against highly skilled players who are gifted with your "easy to control accuracy..." then how is he supposed to tell that apart from cheating? (Hint: even if he can, it doesn't make it okay.)
My matches this season are all like this. I get fifteen matches in a row where my squadmates are new to the game, and then I get a single match where by squadmates are, "enemy down, enemy down, whole squad wiped" three times before the second circle, and that's without any help from me whatsoever. So my option is to try and save the hopeless or be the hopeless third wheel. This is why people quit matches and call out cheating. The game has become a sewer and whether it's because of actual cheaters, or just soft cheating, or just Respawn's inability to matchmake, is utterly beside the point.
The only thing that it on point is whether the problems get better over time or worse. So far it's sixteen straight seasons of deterioration. At least from what I can see. And telling the OP that it's not cheaters he's experiencing, just better players, is kinda missing the entire point. IMO. It's quibbling over the speed of your pizza delivery while your house burns down with you still in it.- 3 years ago@reconzero Hey bro, I'm with you, mostly. I was not referring to the op tho regarding the constant cheating posts.
It's always been like that - bad teammates and every once in awhile a good match where the stars align.
Bro, can I be honest with you? You remind me of someone who just got the game and failed to remove the shrink wrap yet plays it somehow..... I'm not insulting you but dude you play on default settings for one, no one does that. At least one notch up if you wont do custom settings. 2nd thing is charge rifle....bro, just start playing with whatever is meta..r301, r99, car, whatever..you'll realize what the community is "on about" real quick and hopefully also learn some stuff about 1v1's? Maybe? 3rd you sound real negative about new ideas...which means you'll suffer whenever new metas are introduced... 4th, passive play will reflect whenever you 1v1 a friend, or anyone really...it's not fun, and you realize it means nothing, although you have all those "stats".
I'm not some guru who's above it all and I'm not that good either, but man, whenever we talk it's like you are playing something else, aside from this latest comment.. Sorry, I just had to say this. Feel free to correct me, and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I doubt that I'm wrong about this. 🙂- reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Unitee01
You are not being disrespectful, and you're not wrong: I am playing a completely different game than the one Respawn designed, and that everyone else plays.
And how on earth do you know what settings I'm using???!!! It isn't that I haven't tried tinkering with them. Every time I do I gain 5% accuracy with close range weapons while giving up 50% accuracy on mid to long range weapons. And as you know, my game is a mid to long range game.
And before I leave the subject of settings, if default are somehow "not playable" then shame on Respawn. And you know who can change over to the highest possible sensitivity and still land every shot? Aimbotters and predators. And if you want to make the argument that there's a difference between the two then I'll take you at your word. But there isn't to me.
"you sound real negative about new ideas" Not sure exactly what you mean, although I'm not exactly prepared to contradict you either. What I will say is that my own personal meta isn't something I pulled out of a hat. It's 22,000 matches of experience. If something doesn't work, or can't be made to work with a reasonable expenditure of time and effort, then it gets shitcanned. Goodbye 301. Goodbye Sentinel. Goodbye anything in the game where I'm expected to die 700 times before I begin to "get it." And by "get it" I mean some skill or trick or tactic that works 51% of the time. Not good enough, not worth the effort, not fun. That's a grinder's game. And while I respect anyone who wants to treat this game that way, it's not the way I want to treat it.
Which brings me around to why I love battle royale as a gametype. I love it because it's big enough and flexible enough to be able to accomodate different skill sets, different playstyles, and different attitudes. But it is still completely at the mercy of height of its skill ceiling and the quality of its matchmaking. I've often said this game is too hard to be good at, but that wouldn't even matter if matchmaking in this game had anything to do with skill. It doesn't, it gets worse over time instead of better, and I'm far from the only one who notices the problem.
- 3 years ago@Unitee01 What was the number, correct me if I'm wrong somewhere around the 130 million player mark?
One of, if not thee most played BR at the moment....and the company that makes the strike packs and cronus etc reported selling out how many times back to back to back to back within a couple months, repeatedly - I believe faster than they could make them. Hmmm, wonder how many of those thousands and thousands of strike packs and cronus etc found their way to the most popular and most competitive BR game on the market?
But yeah, there probably isn't that much cheating in apex.
I said this before, true aimbot is dead, nobody uses it anymore, the only ones that do are the trolls that want you to know they are...gets them off.
True aimbot has been replaced with soft aimbot, works almost as well as true, but by making it a little bit harder to tell. A cowards hiding hack if you will. Like you said, "if there was any real evidence those players would be banned." - The whole point of these new hacks is to hide the evidence as best as possible to avoid detection and to avoid the bans.
But lets hope you're statements are more accurate than mine for the sack of Apex Legends and in the name of having fun. Fun? what's that you say? Awh, I know what that is... Apex beta to about season 5. When the original Devs (the ones that cared) were still around.- 3 years ago@NickBeam27 Yeah bro, obviously you have a better understanding. But what difference does it make in game? Some cheat, some don't. A lot do. facts. But to accuse every controller player of cheating is stupid. Some do, some don't, most don't. But I know a lot do but not most, just due to experience. Point is he is preaching it like it's a way of life. It is not. Controller will own pc up close and vise versa in range. Of course sore losers will say - he cheated in any instance. 🙂
- 3 years ago@Unitee01 I agree, I would never say everyone who is good is a cheater. Hell, just watching some of the legit pros do their thing is mind boggling... so I know there is crazy skill out there. And I agree, accusing everyone of cheating that has crazy aim isn't realistic. There are some very skilled players out there.
However, there is a lot of cheating and not just in apex, but in the entire competitive gaming industry. And many are seeing it starting to balloon out of control. And with these companies selling out over and over of mods, cronus, strike packs, dead aim and on and on and on... will in fact make ones mind always sit and ponder weather their gaming experience is fair. Most of us will never know for sure, but there are many many times especially in a game one has played over 35,000 games (years or stupid hours) where you start to be able to see in specific situations when something is suspect or is absolute. With that being said, no one should assume just cause they were killed, that the combatant was a cheater.
My kingdom for confirmation... other than that Apex sound is dirt. : )

@Unitee01You need to be extremely delusional to believe the game doesn’t have a massive cheaterproblem…
if you go to diamond and above probably every second controllerplayer will use Cronus etc. And that is the sad reality.
just looking at the sales of all kind of strikepacks and you know it has to be bad in fact very very bad
not to mention all the mnk cheaters using Cronus to get aimassist.
the amount of cheaters with software will mostly be pretty slim… and cheating with specific hardware on pc is quite expensive in fact much more expensive than Cronus for example.
ea needs to tackle the strikepacks problem and start actively fighting the problem
- 3 years ago
Omg bro, I totally agree with you. Cheating is more apparent the higher you go. For freaking sure! But to believe people who are in diamond are all cheaters too is a delusional way of viewing the world. I'm just saying that a lot of people have good aim, which will make you think they cheat if you ae not on that level of play. Many people here do not understand this and will march on....oh well. Do that then.
- 3 years ago@matzesingt Bro, I do see the problem. But I think people are too eager to cry wolf. Especially in low tier lobbies. In higher tiers I agree, to some extent, when there is proof, as obviously not all are cheaters.
