Everyone would always talk about how much they hated World's Edge when it first came out but it became a lot of players favourite map afterwards. Just give it few weeks and your opinion might change.
I would say there have been some problems with cross play but if its impacting your gameplay so much then just turn it off.
- 5 years ago@WraithMain712 you cant turn off crossplay anymore.. thats the f. point...
- 5 years ago@matzesingt Well I didn't know they changed that, thanks for letting me know.
But hopefully they will make some changes to it based on the feedback.
- 5 years ago@WraithMain712 ...it’s not even the vehicles that’s the problem the game is broken have you not played? There are bugs everywhere-.-
- 5 years ago@Noodleeex I didn't mention anything about vehicles here someone else did.

@WraithMain712The reason why World's Edge became a good map was because they made a lot of huge changes to fix all the things people complained about. Those complaints being: too many chokepoints, too many open spaces with no cover/loot, and sniper/shotgun gameplay. They fixed all of that in season 4. Removed a lot of the multi storey buildings. Broke the map with a lot more cover and loot. Made more passtroughs and changed the ring spawns.
For me they made all the same mistakes again with Olympus. Personally, I don't like this kind of gameplay at all. It takes away most of the action gameplay and flow of tthe game, that i grew to love Apex for.- 5 years ago

Well, the "tin foil hat theory" that's going around is that they did it intentionally. Leave the map bare bones (in terms of it being too open and having the other issues you stated), so they can make big deal about improving it later with map changes, during Events and/or new season launches.
So, basically, the theory is that they didn't mess up with Olympus, like they did with WE, but that this is strategically planned so they can make a huge deal about map changes and be all like "look, we listened to player feedback" and all that, to get some brownie points.
I mean, considering I've seen game developers do worse, it wouldn't surprise me if the theory was true. Especially, considering the rest of the BS this season *shrug* - 5 years ago@fuzzykeuh Makes sense. I completely forgot about the first version of World's Edge since its been gone for a long time now.
