@ATOMXIILeaver penaltys never really work, for example if you get one all you have to do is go play something else a few hours and come back without a penalty so it never really teaches anyone a lesson and ends up harming players who disconnected, crash, get a random error, etc instead of punishing players who go afk or leave early
Filling in for the players who never made it in, crashed, disconnected, left early, etc is a better option imo or they should start calling off games that are not true 9v9s like Rogue Company does so you will at least start with a full lobby instead of half of one... sometimes it may get called off 2-3 (or more) times in a row but eventually its a full lobby but I think filling in would be a quicker alternative
- 4 years ago@TheApexLegendNub I do like the idea of filling players and I have seen it can work well on some other games.
I think we all experienced the random error causing us the leave penalty at some point in other modes. But we already added that to Arena, it might be easier to add to Control in the meantime than making a new continuous filling system.
Personally I don't think 9v9 is the main attraction point for this mode. They could have done it on Arena if they really want to, smaller map for potentially more action or fights. I just want to express that getting outnumbered in Control mode is especially frustrating.- 4 years ago@ATOMXII The leaver penalty is what ruined Arenas for me, you would queue up and either have a disconnected or afk teammate so you were forced to play as a 2 v 3 and it just wasn’t fun, another thing Apex needs is a surrender option so aslong as over half the people vote yes you would surrender, in 6 v 6 its 4 so in 9 v 9 you would need 5 yes but in Arenas you would only need 2

@TheApexLegendNubI don't play much Arena either. But you can suicide with nades if you really want in Arena but you can't do that in Control. And one Arena match is a quicker than Control I would think. One player leaving in Control would ruin 8 other, but Arena is just 2. Ideally no one would leave, but I'd choose to put penalty on Control instead of Arena.
And it doesn't really make sense to have a surrender system when people can just leave at will as the current state. If people always connect to the same game, maybe that can work. And maybe just leave it to the report system when it comes to afk people.

The infinite ammo and health is really not immersive. Should be like other arena shooters where there are preset basic weapons with little to no attachments on map for us to swap. If we don't want to swap our gun we can still walk over them and get a small amount of ammo if it's the same type ammo.
We can walk over dead enemies weapon to add ammo to the gun too if it's the same ammo type.
We can only walk over the weapon once to get ammo and only obtain 40 ammo or however little the gun has left.
We should be able to pick up health too. If enemies die they drop weapon and health
