Spawn camping one sided hardcore is all it is. I never have a "close" game. It's just pure domination on one side or the other.
There needs to be a safe zone that you spawn in at your base which you can be harmed in like in arenas during weapon selection.
There needs to be spawn swaps to prevent spawn camping.
Audio is non existent.
Great idea but poorly done.
@chiefthunderball Audio is non-existent in ALL modes. I've recently turned on THX sound system (Razer Synapse), and it improved the audio. I was happy about that. Then not even 5 minutes into a match, the game wouldn't stop lagging, and the sound optimizations died and reverted instantly back to how it was. So basically, the game doesn't like it when you try to hear it better.
[Edited] @chiefthunderball I forgot to mention the fact that I know the audio is terrible when I upload a video to Youtube to show a friend a clip from a match, and the volume is 10% of what I heard from the game. While yes, Youtube's volume is set to 100% and every other video is loud and clear. Its blantly obvious that Apex is so quiet, even recording software aren't able to really pick it up.
I can hear the audio get silenced more and more with each update. While, no its not my device or me going deaf. I can hear anything that can be heard in every single other game that I own. I can hear objects get thrown far and close away in Phasmophobia, I can hear mobs in Minecraft, I can hear surviors in Dead by Daylight wimper in pain when they're injured and hiding, I can hear enemy pirates swimming towards me in Sea of Theives. Yet I cannot hear someone running at me in Apex for some reason. Its absolute radio silence.

I am constantly changing my audio settings using the very same program and I do not have these issues at all. Comparing other games audio to apex audio also holds no barrens on this issue. Those games you mention do not have near the amount of noise apex can produce all at one time. So for that comparing them is like comparing oranges to apples.
