One of the things that I’m not liking about this game so far and I’m really enjoying it since I’ve started playing it. And that is the whole crafting materials ordeal, and how often you get the loot boxes. Cuz I mean I’m already level 73 and I hardly ever get loot boxes anymore and that’s the only way to get crafting materials. From the time I’ve started playing apex I haven’t really gotten any crafting materials out of boxes and when I do finally get some it’s only like 15. I mean how are you supposed to buy skins for your character or buy anything else with them if the game doesn’t give you any out of boxes. I mean it would really be nice to be able to buy a purple skin or a purple camo for a gun without having to spend actual money on something. So that is something I definitely feel like they need to change about this game and that is either how or how often you get crafting materials. I mean does anyone else not see where I’m coming from or feel the same way that I do about the whole crafting material deal. Just trying to get it out there cuz I’m sure if enough people feel the same way I do about it and spread the word about it that they’ll change something about it. So spread the word!!!!

I understand that apex packs are meant to be monetized so that the game devs can make money. That's fine, however, there is an issue when players reach their limit for getting cosmetics, many become disinterested in the game. I think it may be a smarter idea (as you can only get 45 Apex Packs from just playing the game) to at least reward players for playing in crafting materials if they play well or one per match or something. If they can at least grind cosmetics it then people will be more inclined to keep going. It doesn't have to be a lot.

They need to give us crafting materials as rewards for completing matches depending on our performance, and if they're afraid dedicated players will farm everything then simply adjust the costs of the items a little to compensate

Could always give us a way to remove things we don't want from our items and get at least half the crafting materials in return that way. Either let it cost Apex coins or legend tokens to do so. Though maybe give full material for actual coins and half if we use tokens?

Having been level 100 for months now, I completely lost interest in the game besides playing with a friend when he is available.There is no reason to login and play.... to win? So what? With a good 3rd random we with 50% of every time we play. I don't care about winning as much, I want something to work towards. Badges? I got most of them all by now, maxed out too, save a few extremely difficult ones (ie. 20 kills in a match).I literally have no reason to play except to have a good time with a friend once in a while.Don't even get me started on how much Season 1 is a failure.

Is there no way without buying a pack to get Crafting materials after you get the 45 free leveling Apex Packs and if not that sucks that after playing for some time you are no longer rewarded with anything of use without putting stupid amounts of money into it.

Yeah, considering there's a chance of getting duplicates from loot boxes and there are hundreds of useless cosmetics that have a higher chance of dropping than a skin for a hero they should give free player a way to earn a lootbox or cosmetic every once in a while

Battle pass will be a way to get many skins for a 1 time fee to unlock with playing. The game is fresh so not many characters to unlock with in game money but thats what they give all characters, giving more then "only 45" free packs seems generous enough im sure they will do more events for free skins.

Thanks for sharing your experience around crafting materials, @xNiigWaardx. Be sure to check the exclusive section in the "Featured" store to see if you can purchase the exclusive skin with Legend Tokens if you happen to already own the skin already that you must purchase with Apex coins. Crafting materials can also be included as legendary items from Apex Packs where you'll get a significant amount too. Sounds like from your situation the drop rate is too low so, though we appreciate the feedback!

I actually love this idea. It's one I wouldn't mind seeing implemented it sure would help a lot since I have no real use for some of the things I know I'll never care to use. I won't mention them but there are some that are just not my thing or a want I have and I could use these materials on things I do want instead.

Just keep in mind that if you can convert things you don't like into materials you now have a chance of getting those same items in an apex pack again
