Cross platform switch voice chat Apex legends

On the new port for the Nintendo switch version of apex legends when trying to use voice chat with a player from another platform the voice chat is choppy and next to impossible to use. The person playing on ps4 can hear the switch player fine but for the switch player the ps4 player voice is impossible to hear. It stutters supper hard and you can barely hear their voice at all.
