@Condor442I love crypto and I love thinking about the possibilities. I hate that he's only getting quality of life improvements instead of a buff or a slight rework. I'll start with an idea I had a few moments ago.
1. The banners show how many squads are within 200m. How about when you ping the banner it highlights enemies within 100m for 3 secs. That way your team mates can see the closest squads and plan accordingly. Op? Probably so...maybe tweak the idea a bit.
2. Drone hack doors. When it's the end game and the last squads are popping in and out of doors taking shots at each other crypto can lock the enemy door forcing them to have to tear the door apart and expose themselves just to shoot.
3. If crypto activates drone while jumping he can use it to levitate for 5 secs. This is just an idea I got from the pathfinder banner from system override and also the fact that pathfinder, a robot heavier than a human, can zip line the drone. This seems like it would be great for roof top to roof top travel in world's edge, maybe even raining bullets down on enemy squads.
4. Two drones. Let's be real he's a surveillance expert with only one drone (camera). He should be able to set one up and somewhere to watch his back while using the other to scouting ahead. Set them up at both entrances to a tunnel.
An interesting idea would be to make the drone follows Crypto so whenever he wants to scan an area or emp a an enemy team he would just quickly switch control to the drone without having to go through throwing animation or to recall it if it was far away, There are still so many ways to buff him, I hope he got the love he deserves because he is on of the most fun charecters to play.
@SERPENT_DESCEND I do like the idea of crypto's drone following him in some way, but I feel that this would be hard to implement. The drone would turn into a very loud beacon that would become a liability for your team. I still love the idea of being less of a sitting duck, but a following drone would cause a lot of issues.
@Condor442 I understand that the EMP has other value than damage, but the 1-2 seconds of stun/slow, at least for me, doesn't help too much. I feel like the stun effect doesn't put them at that huge of a disadvantage, because of your team also getting stunned. However you do make a good point that 50 points of shield can matter.
