Delete Hidden MMR / EOMM from public playlists

Nice Job deleting MMR from Ranked, now do it for Public playlists too. I am Master with a 3.00 KD overall and I absolutely CANT play public with my best friends because they are not playing this game on my skilllevel.

Everytime I play Duo or Trio with them we get HELL lobbies because of my high MMR.
They are forced to play against MY enemies.
When they are playing without me they get way easier lobbies.
please delete MMR from casual playlists.

There is absolutely no need to have SBMM, Mmr or anything else in a NON RANKED playlist for fun.

if people only want to play against players on their own skilllevel then there is the RANKED playlist.

On your current system you have TWO ranked playlists.
the „real ranked“ playlist where you can SEE your own rank and the CASUAL playlist, where your „Rank“ (hidden mmr) is invisible.

this is a huge betrayal in general on the playerbase and the reason the game suffers.

you should at least TRY only 1 season without MMR, SBMM, Eomm etc and watch your playerbase grow.

thanks for reading.

  • @DeleteMMR Apex is never going to give you what you want. I honestly don't think this is the game for you to play casually with your friends.

I am also with @reconzero on this; if you are as good as you say you are (3.0 KDR Master) then I don't want you in my lobby (KDR ~0.90 solo queue player) to casually slaughter me so you can protect your buddies. That's like an NBA player showing up at the YMCA with his scrub friends for pick up ball.

No need to be insulting or call others names.

"the CASUAL mode is for ANYONE to just have fun." Please point out where EA or Respawn have provided or stated that there is a casual mode.

Otherwise: There is no casual mode in Apex per se. Trio Pubs is not a casual mode it is competitive by the nature of the game itself. In fact at the original release of Apex, the game was announced as a game that pits players of similar skill against one another. This is still true today for pubs. Similar skill is based off of the 3 players teams skill. The wider the skill gap of the individual players on a team will have a wider skill range of the players they play against.

With the above in mind as a "good" player playing with their "less skilled" friends, in pubs will tend to make the game harder for the "less skilled friends" and more challenging for the 'Good" player.

"it is NOT a competitive mode therefore there should NOT bd SBMM" I have to agree with others here, good players, represent a lower percent of players worldwide, per region and then per lobby and should be matched as equally as possible against each other and not allowed to "casually" stomp the lobby and provide a good experience for themselves at the continual cost, bad experience, of the rest of the lobby they are in.

As far as this statement of yours "then GET GUD?" maybe you should take your own advice and also pass it on to your friends.

"and NO I dont even WANT a protection by a matchmaking filter. I want to play against ALL people on the server on a PUBLIC CASUAL NON COMPETITIVE PLAYLIST." Considering your pervious posts on this subject here and on the German boards it looks like you just want to have a mode where you can just run and gun the lobby just to feel good for yourself. The game is competitive in all modes and at your level of skill you will just have to live with the fact you will have to play opponents at your similar skill level.

Ranked mode is a bit more competitive pitting players of similar skill and rank vs one another especially as one moves up the ranks. However this does not mean that Pubs is in any way not competitive.

The pro scene is the Apex (pun intended) of the competitive play scene.

If you have something constructive to reply that would be great.

"the old fps games like CoD4, Battlefield 2,3 etc also had no SBMM and people played it because it was fun."

Pretty sure the CoD guys admitted about a thousand years ago that there was NEVER any version of the game that didn't use SBMM. Also very sure that the list of titles that use it and have always used it is MILES longer than the list of games that didn't.

"Do you even know that „improving“ in apex means nothing? Because IF you improve and get better you only will get better enemies. You will NOT get better rounds."

    100% true.

"you guys are only for the sbmm in a CASUAL mode because you are profiting from it. Cause you are bad and dont want to improve."

Just because you are personally willing to crush the dreams of small children to satisfy your own ego does not mean that every high-skill player shares your dystopian vision an apocalyptic wasteland where once stood a semi-level playing field. (I can't believe you're getting me to defend some of the worst matchmaking in the history of gaming, but there we have it.)

    "While you enjoying your lobbies."

Yeah, the rest of us scrubs get win after win after win after win. I love this game.

@DeleteMMRSo you are the "get gud" kid. Should have known. SMH

BTW, lots of older games didn't use SBMM because they had server browsers.  Players picked where they wanted to play and lots of times there were local admins monitoring them and kicking toxic players or cheaters.  Battlefield games were also not BR so you weren't "one and done", you just respawned and kept rolling or left the server to find another one.  Very different reaction to dying in a Battlefield game than a BR game.

    @DeleteMMR

EA does not use EOMM in Apex Legends. No matter what you think. Or what others post on youtube about other games.

EA has stated that they do not use EOMM in Apex and so far there is no, I repeat, no proof otherwise.

As far as all the rest goes we can agree to disagree on the points of MMR/SBMM.

I would also like to point out that you really need to get your info straight about that whole USK18 thing in regards to Apex legends and "small Children". Yes in Germany it is USK 18 and that is a German law issue that applies to Germany. Plus that only involves the purchase of such a game by the 18 and under person, parents or legal guardians could provide the game to the under 18 children as they see fit or not. In order to play EA games you have to be at least 13 years of age to have your own account and play Apex Legends in the U.S. A. Age restrictions above and beyond this are up to each countries local laws. So yes one could use the term young children in regards to 13 year-olds playing this game (even in Germany), and yes they could be on the same server as you as server location has no impact on the age of the player. Be informed about what you state and or quote, don't just grab at what you think fits and makes your case.

As for calling me an NPC that is pretty offending, coupled with the use of an emoji to also call me a clown is basically calling me stupid. Just because we disagree on things based off of information we have and our our own thoughts and insights does not give you the right to be abusive and or demeaning towards me or others here on the boards.

@HappyHourSumwur OMG i got a flashback form your comment , i remember using battlelog website for matchmaking on bf3 , the amount of time i got autokick by the server because i had a +2.5kda haha.
  • Alright, I know I'm a little late on this, but I agree with the original statement. Hear me out now. I've been playing games since the early 2000's and my first online game I've played was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. In that game it was CBMM! You were put up against any and everybody! Noobs to Pros! It was fun and actually CASUAL! The term casual literally means, "relaxed and unconcerned!" Just supposed to be laid back fun, but as time went on, more and more people randomly started to become wannabe pro players to the point Call of Duty themselves added a ranked playlist (the very game in my eyes that started casual FPS). I never played it because I was all about playing a VIDEO for

FUN! You know, that feeling you get when something makes you happy to be doing it? The very purpose for a CASUAL game or playlist was for players to have fun, but that got lost somewhere along the way. The thing is it's a little hard to play with friends to have fun when you're restricted to do so because of some weird parameters set for a game to be "fair". News flash, no such thing exists sadly. CBMM is probably the closest thing to it if I'm being unbiased. I'm a decent player myself if I do say so, I usually make it to high diamond and then quit because I don't have friends that's that high of skill level and then I just play something else like Minecraft lol. I literally quit Apex and Call of Duty because of this problem (even became a zombies player because none of my friends wanted to be in my sweaty lobbies due to this issue). They said they fixed that issue and brought back the old style ranked so I'm playing it again and they still haven't fixed that weird hidden MMR in a casual playlist :/ there's no point in having two playlists if it's the same thing technically. It's basically like buying soap, what's the point of buying one over the other if they both essentially do the same thing? Not saying all soaps are the same, but that's besides the point I'm trying to prove. Just no use in a casual playlist of you can't play it casually. It's just sweat no matter what these days. Playing games for actual fun when it comes to games like this is just non existent, so best bet is play another one IF you want to have fun nowadays.. like a single player game or one you know has an actual casual type of online experience.
