Do we want bad players to kill good players? Charge rifle, PK.

Don't turn this game into fortnite please.

Getting kills should require skill. Not rng based luck. If you can't hit a shot get better. Don't change the game so it doesn't matter if they're bad

  • @yirzi Games almost always do this. They want more ppl to feel like they’re doing good... cause that spells out MONEY! ;D
  • @yirzi After my 1.5k hours and over 7k kills i cant down a player anymore so im pretty sure they have implemented some other crap too to help * players get kills
  • Charge Rifle is OP, but... just pick it up and kill them before they kill you then?
Like... you CAN also use that same gun if you want too?

Its 100% accuracy is stupid, but I have zero problem outsniping people with it.
It's not really been an issue so far as I can see.
It's one of the best guns, so just use it?

If you're better, you'll melt them before they melt you.

It should still get nerfed for sure tho.

  • @yirzi First sentence is gold 🙂. You are basically asking them to not make Apex similar to what is probably the most successful free to play game to this date, earning billions every year.

If Charge Rifle is soooo easy to use, why don't skilled players hipfire someone 500m away to ashes while dancing on the zipline?

PK is very deadly lately, I agree, but it's still hard to control in close combat. Much harder than a R-99, for example. It's not exactly a noob weapon, it actually favors skilled players that are better at leading and landing shots on moving targets.
  • @yirziHmm welcome to online video gaming you mean to tell me that no time in your time of playing shooters you have not had one single lucky shot? Has nothing to do with good or bad its a battle the better walks out alive. Simple as that. Not saying you are bad at all but at that moment they made you look bad killing you. It is quite a odd post I think. You are literally claiming that a good player was downed by a bad player. Like What? A good player would not have died in that situation. They would have been aware of their surroundings. Listening for foot steps advancing with their team. If a good player died not following those logics are they so good?

  • Yes it seems like Respawn has choosen to make their game very noob friendly.

It started with the hard nerf of the Wingman which somewhat needed because it was too good in hip-fire  when the game was new. But they kept nerfing Wingman again and again while leaving Shotguns as they were.  Then the energy weapons came, then the Distributor rounds, then nerfed overall loot and now Charge rifle.

But I dont blame them. Look at Quake Champions. Its really hardcore and not at all friendly for noobs and even if Quake historically been one of the best competitive "fast paced" FPS, Quake champion has a very weak player base. I guess games need the casual players to survive, especially a f2p.

@Babbediboopi You don’t even have to look that far. Quake has always been competitive. That’s one of it’s alures... I’m more of an unreal tournament person myself, but that’s besides the point.

Look at one of the biggest franchises, CoD... they finally ‘remake’ the series that kicked the franchise in the bug league argueably; Modern Warfare, but what do they decide to do, make it more accessible and noob friendly by upping footstep audio, effectiveness of claymores and giving players less health (not that I mind this last one... more noobs to kill with less bullets is always good!).

All because their playerbase numbers have been dwindling and not due to the game being more skill based but by their weird future weapon wet dream fantasies, but still they push their noob friendly agenda on the 1 game they knew would sell like hotcakes on some granny’s porch in the middle of June! Calculative fiends... well it backfired in that game and I hope it will be the same here.
  • Honestly I havn’t even noticed the difference with the PK its still hard to land every shot on moving targets and even close range i miss sometimes still lmao but i play with controller on pc and dont have aim assist like console noobs and charge rifle seems the same just uses 3 ammo and only get like 4-5 shots per reload i really dont think either is extreemely OP it all comes down to if the users good or bad ya it sucks being beamed by a charge rifle but also fun using the charge rifle yourself? So I dont personally see any nerfs needed just people crying because they get killed by them
