I play on PC so I never really cared about this talk about Strikepacks but I got curious and watched some clips on Youtube and correct me if I am wrong but it seems to be that what strikepacks do in Apex is to automatically compensate ONLY in the vertical downward direction linearly with different strengths depending on what mode you select? So it doesnt manipulate the crosshair horizontally at all i.e it doesnt help anything against recoil patterns?
If this is the case, I wouldn't actually mind to play m+K vs controllers with strikepacks IF they also removed aim assist. Because its already so much easier to compensate evenly vertically with m+k than with controller. its the horizontal recoil pattern thats the challenge, not the vertical rise.
But on the topic of cheating; its been the same since day one. People cant just accept that there are players that are better than them. I see hardstuck platinums who think they 100% got killed by a cheater only because someone dubbel HS them with a longbow. I dont say that cheating doesnt exist but people are over exaggerating the situation. Mixing high elo with low elo players in the same lobby due to the wide SBMM in casual and smurfs and resets in ranked are usually the case rather than cheaters.
Sure somethimes people do exaggerate things.
But there's a lot of cheater in Apex indeed. I Saw many, reported (and recorded) many etc.
Cheat forums on apex are really active, discord channels etc etc.
Just don't all cheaters are the kind of complete noob that aim-lock any target. Alot of people actually only use glow hacks.
I run in a match with a 4k badge, lvl > 400 (so uncaugth) in arena where i was 1v3. He was really noob at aiming (but had 4k and 20b) and i managed it to take it down twice.
They weird was that he was running towards me every match without seeing me and i was hiding (no noise). Just he knew exctactly where i was.
He wasn't skilled to get 4k or 20b, he simply glow hacks.

Sure that might have been the case. Another explanation could be that he simply bought the account (yes, sad things like that occur. I have seen seen multiple plat hardstucks or worse on my Discord channel who announce that they want to buy a 4k account =)And who knows how many "soft cheaters" I have met without knowing they were cheating because they were noobs when it came to movement, game sense and understanding of the game. A 0.3 k/d guy would maybe become a 0.8 k/d guy with some wall hack and a semi-accurate recoil compensating script that just slightly moves your crosshair downwards automatically, but he would still die in an instant if he met any 2+ k/d players =)
As long as people accept that it doesnt even take a master player to be able to one clip and get 4k dmg badges in an honest way, then I am cool but I am just speaking out against people who think one clipping (for instance) or landing crazy headshots (by luck or skill) is a proof of cheating, only because THEY at their skill level cant do it that easily.
- Midnight97464 years agoHero+@Balladalidila I only have a problem when it looks like they have absolutely no recoil at all. These master/pred players, even pros typically show signs of combating recoil via skills. Players like Shiv and Timmy, I have no doubts on. Nothing but skills there.

It sucks but all we can really suggest/do as players is to keep reporting any suspected cheats you come across. No game will be 100% cheater free but every little bit helps
