EA is lying about how good I am in order to place me in sweaty lobbies
I get these every match, yet my teammates are always stupid beyond belief, and we end up dying the second anybody with a gun looks at us. I get 6 games in a row of nothing but garbage matches. I guarantee you I am not top 10% in Apex Legends. Why are you both claiming I am, and then lying about the skill of my teammates? You guys do know how a distribution works right? You can't place all the players in the top 10%. Giving a good player worse teammates does NOT equal the skill ranges for fights. It's maddening how EA thinks this was a solution. I like the optics, more data is more gooder, but it's revealing a complete flaw in their matchmaking.
I just want fair fun balances games. I don't mind losing, even in a row, as long as I felt I stood a fighting chance, which I almost never do.
And this highlights an even bigger issue, I'm pretty sure the ONLY way players get to top 5 or even 1% is by using a cheat, exploit, or network trick of some sort to get an edge. I cannot count how many times I've been shot through walls by NOBODY (one time even through the ground) 3/4 of my mags not having bullets in them, and players rubber banding back and forth at 4x speed than possible.
I like the visual data you have added, but your matchmaking was always the issue, not the info. However it is clear to me that the dev team does care about this game, which is news to me based on prior game treatment, but it's not enough. The fundamental core of the game does not function to give players a meaningful experience. Maybe it's fine in the mid range or even at the top, but claiming I'm at the top, then saying my team with 2 idiots is also at the top, then shoving me in matching with players at the top only to reveal how NOT at the top my team is, is stupid.
Just look at these score screens. HOW ARE THESE MY TEAMMATES??? And on the off chance I do get non crap teammates, they are way better than me and carry me almost to the point where I don't get to play. I just want to shoot some guns man. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME?
