EA Needs to Remove EAC (Easy Anti Cheat)

Apex Legends is fun, but has some very big outstanding issues. The handling of cheating with Epic Games so called "Easy Anti Cheat makes this title stand out the most.

For as big as a company EA is and/or was, it's silly they offer Epic Games the contract to deal with the cheaters in the first place.

Why offer your competitor a service that could create a bigger issue in the long run? Why would Epic Games make Apex Legends a safe place to play, when they spend so much on marketing for Fortnite? There is no logic.Epic Games sues the people who make the software, What does EA do?

If Apex Legends was owned by Epic Games, cheating in the title would be rare. I find that odd that they both use the same service. EA, get with the times and deal with the cheaters your self. No other company cares if Apex Legends fails.

Fortnite cheaters get banned during the game, You ever seen anyone banned during gameplay in Apex Legends? Shoot, Apex Legend cheaters get to go on for 2000+ kills.

EAC is nothing more than pages of numbers with useless data on how many people they ban each month. People still just make another free acount and go off and cheat again.

  • EAC only ban users after a period of time cheating, which is not so great since the damage have already been done.

And as you say, the cheater could very easily create a new account and start cheating again.

To rid this game of cheaters they'll have to implement more verification steps, making it harder and more of a hassle to create a verify new accounts.

Like VALVE did with CSGO, when they forced the players to both verify with email and with a phone, to be able to play ranked.

This as well as forcing the player to play x amount of games before being able to even access the ranked scene.
