Earning treasure packs outside of Battle Royale
With the Arenas mode being removed next season, it appears there will be no longer be a way to earn treasure packs outside of playing the Battle Royale mode. Looking at the latest trailer, it seems that all of the loot bins have been removed from the Arenas maps being used in the Team Deathmatch mode, making the ability to earn treasure packs inaccessible. The same also goes for Control and Gun Run, the two other modes played in the newly added Mixtape playlist.
The latest EA blog post discussing the addition of Mixtape states that they want TDM to "hold its own as a mode" and be played "as its own activity." It also mentions that they want the other Mixtape modes to retain players for the long-term. I think being able to earn treasure packs, effectively the game's daily login bonus, in Mixtape would allow players to just hop on and play it freely "as its own activity" for the long-term without feeling like they're missing out on in-game progress.
I understand why the current Mixtape modes don't have loot bins, but maybe have a few treasure packs on the ground for each team when the match starts? Maybe have treasure packs spawn from Care Packages, which play a part in a few of the current Mixtape modes?
