I mean, yes, it is possible that I personally am not good at aiming, but by saying that, you imply that all console players are trash.
Obviously, the form of input does not reflect the actual skill, but since the controller is much worse, it ends up limiting the capabilities of those who use controllers. Therefore, even if the controller player and keyboard player are evenly matched in skill, the controller player will still lose. Which is why there is aim assist.
I don’t necessarily agree with the strength of the current aim assist, but it should be there to some degree.

@Sir_NamedThe thing is all you need to say is keep controller players and M&K players separate and you will be fine. Arguing over the merits of aim assist but still wanting combined lobbies just makes you look partisan.
The thing is many controller players rampaging through combined lobbies at the moment are laughing at how easy it is to tear apart M&K players at the moment. How do I know? because my son and his crew who have moved from fortnite this season are doing exactly that and I watch him do it. He is having an awesome time.
Either way respawn are not likely to listen as this is the move that all gaming companies make when their game starts dying off. So arguing over it is moot and actually I will give up on it an move on. - 5 years ago
@AcumentalYeah, I’m fine to not have crossplay. Of course, it’d be better to have it, but it causes so many issues, so I’m prepared for it to go away.
I just don’t buy that all controller players are stomping on the keyboard players. Good keyboard players hit most of their shots, and still have the movement advantage. Good controller players might hit a bit more than the good keyboard players, but they still lack in mobility. Maybe the low-ish skill levels are suffering more from this, as the aim assist would probably help low-ish skill controller players get the edge on similar skill level keyboard players.
I mean, for lots of console players in the past, it has usually been the other way around, with us being like “how are they that good at aiming? They must be using a keyboard and mouse.” It just seems unlikely to me that all of a sudden controller players are now the dominant force. - 5 years ago@Acumental Wouldn't a better solution be to just overide the console sense to be .4 instead of 6 like PC controllers?
- 5 years ago@Sir_Named Yeah but being an Mk player on console means your a xim user, which means Mk+aim assist...not really the same. Bringing console aim assist to PC lobbies is pretty brutal. Here's a link of some dude predicting the sheetstorm that has gone down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnFLLmwBZI0&t=20
- 5 years ago@SpaceHamster1991 I don’t even know anymore. (About the strength of aim assist)
Why would console have stronger aim assist than pc? That doesn’t really make sense. Shouldn’t the main platform for keyboard, the better form of input, have stronger aim assist?
Or maybe since the console players are usually playing against each other, they get higher aim assist? - 5 years ago@Sir_Named Hey man,
Well im not sure what is stronger but i couldimagine that the lack of fps mght be a reason to make it stronger on console? - 5 years ago@matzesingt I guess?
- 5 years ago@Sir_Named well you tell me if you are a consoleplayer xD
