EU Server Issues Since AWS Migration – Six Months On

Overview:
Since the switch to AWS servers, EU Apex has felt worse in almost every way. Stability, ping, and overall matchmaking quality have all taken a hit, affecting gameplay at every level—from casual pubs to ranked.

Current Issues:

Server instability: Regular packet loss, ping spikes, and lag. Average latency often double what it used to be.

Forced single server: All EU players are now on one server, making every match a gamble for stability, latency, or packet loss.

Increased cheating: It feels like cheaters are more common since the migration, further harming competitive play.

Impact on Casual Play (Pubs & Mixtape):

Mixtape example: Ping averaged 63–67ms, normally around 28–33ms, on the older servers

Dying around corners or missing shots that should have landed is far too common.

Casual modes feel less enjoyable, and sometimes not worth queuing.

Impact on Ranked:
In roughly 7 out of 10 games, I experience:

Packet loss, server lag, or ping spikes (sometimes all three simultaneously).

Getting killed through walls or around corners due to latency.

Teammates/enemies teleporting or rubberbanding during fights.

Squad fights decided by who experiences fewer latency spikes rather than skill.

Missed rotations or failed ability usage due to delayed inputs.

Consequences:

Directly affects ability to climb and enjoy ranked.

Losing matches to factors outside my control is demotivating.

Overall enjoyment of the game is decreasing.

Suggested Improvements:

Enhance server performance to reduce lag, packet loss, and spikes.

Reintroduce multiple EU server options for better regional distribution.

This would improve stability, latency, and matchmaking for both casual and ranked play.

Closing Statement:
This isn’t a minor inconvenience—it impacts a large portion of the EU community. At this point, it’s not just about preference—it’s about the game being consistently playable. EU players deserve the level of performance and stability that was possible before the AWS migration. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.
