Factoid about Controller Aim Assist

I use controller on PC and I used to play exclusively on ps4 until recently. I tried Mk when I first started and was pretty impressed with how accurate I could be at far ranges with higher recoil guns. However the cqc control was much harder (to be fair I just used the baseline settings for Mk and didnt fiddle with DPI or anything). Cqc on controller is far far easier with there being a fall off in ranged effectiveness (depending on player skill), however there is a bubble surrounding controller players that is about 1-2 feet where aim assist fails entirely, completely screwing up the controller player's aim while hipfiring or adsing. Most of the time if you don't have cover to play around with, and the controller player is at least somewhat near your skill level, he will blow you out of the water cqc, but if you push into the bubble he will have bronze rank aim. When this has happened to me it felt like my sensitivity doubled and I couldnt hit a barn door if I tried. This isn't a game changer, but I feel like it might be helpful for some Mk players, even if it's to my own detriment lol

  • @TinyTim6991 I know what you mean, sometimes I have Aim Assist close range and other times theres like virtually zero aim assist so im trying to aim with like double or triple my sensitivity and miss half my shots lol it seems to happen more with certain weapons more than others though
