FIX SBMM AND REMOVE AUTOFILL OR ADD SOLO MODE

Their main explanation why to not have solos as a permanent mode was that it affected player retention badly, especially among new players. They didnt get into detail but I would guess that they saw that player who played solo never played the game as long during one gaming session as players who played squads. This was at least how I experienced solos when it was an LTM. You played two, maybe three matches and then felt fed up for the day with not only Solos but Apex in general, unlike as with trios where I can play match after match after match regardless how well I perform.

When you say "fix SBMM", what do you mean? What kind of skilled based matchmaking do you want? Like ranked? Or even stricter than ranked? 

@BalladalidilaWould love to know how player retention for squads was effected by solos and how many were playing normal mode compared to before the IC event.

@apostolateofDOOMI think most players were playing solos instead of trios which affected the matchmaking on pc because getting into trio lobbies was already slow, personally i knew solos was a limited time mode so I tried playing it as much as I possibly could for 2 weeks and didn’t play much of trios except a couple games here and there at night

If I knew solo mode was permanent then that wouldn’t be the case because I would play solo when I wanted to be alone and I would go on trios when I wanted to have fun and get a few wins and with crossplay and the addition of nintendo switch there should be plenty of players to fill trios,duos, ranked, solos, and Arena assuming its added in season 9 with players with a similar skill level

Yeah full transparency is always nice but unfortunately is Respawn known to be the opposite of transparent =) I guess there is quite much of analysis of data behind it and its understandable that Respawn chose to just use "player retention" as the main explanation and leave it at that. I have nothing personally against solos but in the end, I trust that Respawn has the intention to do whats best for their game and I have no real reason to believe that I, without any data or statistics, is in a better position to determine if Solos would harm the game or not.
