Footstep sounds in game
I have really good sound. Like in PUBG i can hear you reloading 2 houses over in Poochinki. The past game however an entire team was able to casually RUN into the building i was looting and stick the...
The game sounds muffled when it comes to footsteps. Can't tell when someone is on the other side of a thin wall or right behind you. This should be fixed soon I'm guessing.
Agreed, make footsteps louder please
Yeah I made a post about it too, actually I don't hear any footsteps than my own so not sure if there even is any for opponents, if there is the volume is way too low.
I think the footsteps are already pretty loud in this game in comparison to other things, though that's playing through headphones.
I think there needs to be more work done on directional sound (especially verticality) when it comes to footsteps, it often sounds like someone is right next to me when in fact they're 3 floors above me.
The directional hearing in the game is a bit broke along with footsteps. The footstep audio is only say 200 degrees in front of you leaving about 160 degrees behind you can't hear them. Also you'll only hear running footsteps, walking doesn't make a sound. People can literally walk up behind you in a building and barrel stuff you while your looting a box. Just another broken issue with this game reyawn cares less to address...
So if you're using one of those so called 7.1 headsets this is why your foot steps break they use some hodge podge math to make VIRTUAL SURROUND SOUND
Now the Source Engine and many other engines already come with a Binaural 3D sound renderer then you come along with your extra Fake Sound and lose a bunch of stuff because Math is bad.
Those Usb Headset connectors that Lodgitech and Razer and others sell no matter the cost or what you were charged for one of those headsets USB tiny dongles those things are rubbish, Generally all are rebranded cheap china premade drivers and the chipset inside that dongle has probably been used 50x over on all other brands aswell it costs them 0.10 Cents to have it in the headset, Still not as Cheap as the Rotary encoder Logitech put in their Pro Mice except for the 900 series with an actual scroll and optical encoder.
The Cheap Realtek onboard Chipsets are miles better than those USB dongles, which if those are on the same USB bus line are sensitivy to the 1000hz polling rate of the mouse on some motherboards it's a filter thing idk rubbish begets trash.... "Peels of random Asmedia USB controllers from motherboards throws on ground and burns them"
Don't use Fake Surround Sound Devices / Drivers
