It also eats friendly grenades and even friendly bangalore smoke. Makes no sense. It should only be enemy projectiles
- @FUBUT The caustic ult counts as a grenade, which means it gets eaten by the interceptor pylon.
- @Benchwarmerbrew Well, it does kind of make sense, as it is supposed to have some drawbacks. I.E. it heals enemies as well and destroys all ordnance. I think it’s a balancing mechanic. (Kind of like Gibraltar’s dome blocks all shots, in and out.)
- @Sir_Named It's not a broken ult though. You cant even defend yourself with grenades if her ult is out. It needs changed
- @FUBUT I wish it only intercepts enemy grenades as the only way Caustic can throw his is by being right next to the Pylon but sometimes it doesn't care and eats it anyways.
The Wattson ult works as intended and is actually in line with how most mechanics work in this game. The basic rule of this game is that team mates cant damage each other, but other than that, almost all abilities in this game that arent a personal buff work the same way for both enemies and allies. Think about it; Pathfinders zip, Octanes jump pad, Lifelines package and drone, Wraiths portal, Bangalores smoke and Gibbies dome can be interacted with exactly the same way for all players, regardless if its allies and enemies. So it just makes perfect sense that Wattson ult basically just is a neutral pylon that destroys all incoming grenades and heals nearby players shield, regardless of team.
The only exception from this rule are Revenants grenade and Wattsons fences that only affects enemies. I understand why this is the case with Wattsons fences since it would be impossible to play with a Wattson if also teammates would get stunned by the fences.
- @Benchwarmerbrew It strongly suggest you to use your guns. It heals you and in back it destroys grenades and Bangalore’s smoke
