@p0wnieX With respect, a nerf isn't needed. I have seen plenty who choose fuse, and don't know how to fully use him, and therefore, I would surmise that your experience should be pretty "fair" overall. Having said that, you will also run across players like me, who will pretty much ruin your day.
The issue is not to nerf fuse, but rather, buff some other characters. I used to be a mirage main, however, the walling (cheating), and now Alter's void vision, makes the character useless. Mirage definitely needs a buff.
IMO Wraith's tac and ult are fairly balanced. It is circumstances that make characters such as Fuse and Caustic so effective. Wraith's passive provides ample warning. If you are approaching a closed environment, and your other inter-dimensional voices warn you, and you still enter anyways, that is poor decision making, not a need for a nerf of another character.
Wraith is a powerful character. Playing as Fuse, there have been plenty of times where circumstances favor her, and she can be VERY effective. I have been "kidnapped" plenty of times, and / or, wasted my ordinance and ultimate as she can void out of the area.
More people are choosing Fuse I have noticed, I think are very much like me, and formerly had a different character that they mained. Through the evolution of the game, those former characters lost their efficacy, and Fuse was probably chosen as he fits a number of different fighting styles.
At the end of the day, I think you have created an excellent point. There needs to be serious analysis and discussion about balancing out the characters. EA / Respawn seem to take a reactive approach, nerfing or buffing with each season release in accordance with player feedback. I think we need to have a more proactive approach. By fully discussing what nerfs or buffs ought to be implemented, I think that we can fully evaluate what the impact would be for the player's experience. Using my former main character, Mirage as an example, it is rather obvious the devs didn't fully understand how new and or altered characters would affect another. There was a time when Recon legends could not be fooled by the mirage ult, however that was fixed reactively. They release Alter, failing to remember the issues that were caused by the recon legends, and in her void vision, she can see the real Mirage. Alter will have to be nerfed in that aspect to make the game more fair for Mirage players, but again, the devs will only do this based on our complaints and feedback. For Mirage, this is essentially moot anyways, since the ESP hacks that are out now, will always make any decoy ineffective. This is an example where a character is very underpowered, and therefore is not being chosen as much anymore. Like you, I love this game, and have invested money into it as well. I also chose the Mirage heirloom when I got my shards from my guarantee (1 shard pack for every 500 Apex packs openned) so in some respects, I feel your pain. But in another respect, I think your "I paid money statement" is more about a perceived injustice rather than a very real issue. Having said that, I thank you for your post, as it brings up the importance of maybe having proactive discussion, rather than "knee-*" reactions based on player complaints.
