Teammates is a big factor in the game and I too face the same problems you described. I usually have k/d ratio between 2 and 3 whereas the teammates I get are new guys with 0-50 kills and have no clue how to use tacticals and ultimates or even how to shoot with the gun. Most of them get busy looting and providing no support to othes. Most of them start rushing out for no reason, for instance a few games ago i played a game where both my teammates rushed to 4th party a fight and i constantly screamed stop and what happened next was that amongst the 4 teams my 2 teammates died first. These keep happening again and again. EA should assign teams more carefully instead of randomly pairing anyone with anyone. Atleast check k/d ratio or even number of total kills to determine the team making.
Played numerous games yesterday, as a duo, and routinely faced off against squads who were obviously pre-made trios.
That means the random 3rd assigned to our squad, an individual who queued solo, was being matched against 3-man pre-made squads?!
Due to the mechanics of Apex (long TTK, relatively small mags, easy revives, quick heals, etc etc), squad coordination & teamwork plays a far greater role in the game than individual skill.
Thus matching solo players against pre-made trios makes a complete mockery of whatever SBMM is trying to achieve.
Here are my suggestions:
Skill would then reward success, rather than what we have atm which is largely loot luck & matchmaking luck.
@TheJumpingJawa Idk if you had noticed in duos that numerous teams used to team up and play duos, even i had been assigned randomly to one of those squads where 4 teams including mine were working together to take on other enemies. So, placing duos permanently will result in these teaming up scenarios, also that'll delay matchmaking.
