@SnuggleyPuffs guess what mate? i'd die fighting a predator with a squad who are actually eligible to play gold or whatever tier I am in rather than the current braindead people i'm mostly paired with, a gold tier game and my team mate is from bronze league with below 100 kills, no squad wipe out badges/kill leader winner badge/ 5 kill badges, they don't even know how to use tacticals and ultimates properly. Add no cooperation to all these, they see 3 teams fighting at a place and then rush to be heroes and get rekt first amongst the other 3 squads. I quit playing ranked due to this, these guys play ranked like casuals, drop once the timer is over and then die within 30 seconds and ping to be respawned. I have lost too much dying as 18th,19th and 20th squad since the start of season 4.
Random matchmaking should definitely be improved, otherwise if you have no squad of yours you can't enjoy Apex will be the situation as it is atm. What I will suggest is filter the very bottom tier out and also filter the predators out. Keep these two tiers separate and let the middle and high tier people play with each other because every decent player who has improved from the low tier to the middle tier will definitely improve to compete with high tiers.
Can they not improve the SBMM system? Modify it or bring in new idea which doesn't ruin the fun of better than average players who are randoms and without a squad. That's what I want from Apex instead of all these * * cosmetics they are releasing every day. They're simply trying to milk the market out without fixing actual areas, instead they are introducing unbalanced changes to perfectly balanced stuffs.
Also, I don't mind if you don't have a mic but communicate through chats but there are people who do not listen at all and will land at the Mirage Voyage irrespective of the path of the dropship and half of the time the dropship starts around Mirage Voyage and boom they go and die as the 18/19/20th squad losing RP time and again. I simply cannot help, I can't fight against 5 teams without guns or with a pistol. This is what I want Apex to improve, slot people as my teammates who are atleast around my skill - a bit less or more skilled than me works. Let the badges be scanned irrespective of their display in banner. If I have a Kill Leader and Champion badge/4k damage badge I'd expect my teammates to have atleast one of them or both to be assigned as my teammate, check the highest number of kills the player got on their account, average damage per game and other important stats and badges and slot teammates likewise. Atleast do it for ranked to help out the above average random players without squad to get past gold and plats.
