Hammerpoint Rounds Seem Useless

So, I love to run an auto prowler. But something I've noticed is that it's just not a viable "main" setup, because finding a select fire + a prowler happens to me 1 in every 10 matches at most. Hop ups are rare, and finding the one you need in combination with finding the weapon is just not something you can count on. So most of the times, I end up either using a burst prowler that I toss away halfway due to no hop up, or I end up with a hop up in my inventory for half the match at which point I just give up on trying to find a prowler.

The new hop ups that are about to be introduced in the Season 2 patch are going to make this problem even worse. Why? Because now there are even more hop ups, and thus, the chance to find the one you need is even smaller. And since the new hop ups are meant for otherwise bad weapons, the chance to find a relevant hop up before you replace the weapon with something better is VERY small. I just don't see how they're a useful addition to the game like this.

@NienOClockI think it depends on the people. For me personally, I sometimes play whole matches with the mozambique and do quite well with it. With the hopup (depending what it will do) I’ll likely play even more with that weapon. I dunno if the other hopup is for the p2020, but if it is, it’ll have to be a good one to be used.

[EDIT] So I read the update for season 2... yea for the p2020 it still sucks imo, cause that weapon is crap and unless it's very early game and I can't find another weapon, I pick/use that weapon. I basically pick up any other weapon over that... so yea, needing a hopup for non-shielded enemies, ain't gonna happen with that one...

@nooblet123, I understand that pain. The prowler is one of my main weapons, but I don’t pick it up if I have no selectfire. Despite that, you seem to be thinking that they will not increase drop rates of hopups in general or specific ones. It is true that with more hopups the chances of finding the one you need will be lower, but they might increase the rates of individual ones.

Hope they do it right tho cause now it’s like 50% precision choke, 20-30% skullpiercer, 15% selectfire and 5% turbocharger...

Screw that choke!
