Question:What is the reason to ban hardware ?1. Some people do not have the money for new over price components.2. So is Intel and Amd and Nvidia pushing game creators to push bogus hardware bans to strong arm people into buying new. 3. Who cares if a person has a 10 yr old phenom 6 core and 4 yr old gpu and play at 40fps Its their game experience... What does it matter to EA or other game creators what hard ware a person may have ? As long as they purchase your software and expansion packs and spend money why does it matter.

@JerrySkidd HWID bans are becoming the norm in the gaming world. Anyone can now spoof an IP with a simple VPN which a lot of people do run now. So when they hit with HWID bans this actually stops them from access EA games to just cheat some more or abuse in the chat you can speak with players. They do not wish to have those players ruining the experience of others because they chose to not play a game properly. So with that this is why I feel HWID bans are made.

@JerrySkidd I thought Hwid bans were only for Cheaters, if its for bad language thats a bit extreme imo

@JerrySkidd Free game, unlimited numbers of accounts which makes account bans totally meaningless for someone who cheats on smurf accounts. And as far as I know, they only hardware ban cheaters.

@TheApexLegendNub agreed and for some reason, I see the trend at least here in forums as well as in discord servers where people admit badmouthing some people and getting HWID bans while hackers keep running the lobbies.Should both get HWID - yes, if badmouthing is something extreme like physical threats, attacking people's race or disability, etc.Should HWID be present for badmouthing while hackers still can get around it or not get it - definitely no, hacking should be the worst rule to break if you ask me given I can mute a person who is cursing on me but I can't "mute player's aimbot" during the game.

@Balladalidila saw a case wherein Battlecord Discord server one person said that he got HWID ban for trashing (repeatedly) people - so I guess this statement of yours is not 100% correct at the moment.

Ok since you apparently get banned for just saying the F-word now a days, it wouldn't surprise me if they hardware ban people who keep getting banned, for whatever reason, over and over on multiple, new accounts =)

If you cheat, you get banned.
If you harass others, you get banned.

Is it fair? If you don't abuse, then yes.

To your points:
1. Too bad. People who don't have the money to buy new rigs/consoles shouldn't be abusing the system.
2. No. Wherever you read this (assuming you aren't making this up, yourself) it is factually incorrect. Please remove your tinfoil hat.
3. You're missing the point. Stop abusing and start playing like the rest of us.

I bought used computer which had HWID ban on Apex Legends.. How freaking hilarious was to find that out.. And ye, those bans are still on and couldnt be removed..

When i said hardware bans , I meant you down load a game and the game software scans your hardware and says you cant play due to your system doesn't meet the requirements , that should be left to the user to decide there are still old cpus and motherboards that can still play modern games even at 60fps , for example I used a phenom 1090t 6-core with a 980ti to play battlefield 5 @80 fps on medium in 2020 had that cpu since dec 2009 , I HAVE upgraded to 3950x and new complete rig ,,, Im just saying that the hardware companies' are pushing for hardware bans to sell more parts because computer parts can now go further in long term use they dont want that they want to sell parts and i get it . Now I did try to down load bf2042 on the Phenom 1090t 6 core rig and it said the hardware didnt meet the requirements , just like Blizzard on COD said the same thing .
But since i've upgraded to 3950x rig , I definitely love max settings at 150 + fps no REGREATS AT ALL ... I LOVE BF FRANCHISE since the first release long long ago..
