Well yeah... obviously.
Games are just a product of Entertainment.
You SHOULDN'T really care about it anymore than a movie or something.
Unless you can make serious dough off of playing, then it's just that: a product of entertainment.
Be careful how you use gaming in your life in general.
It's a serious waste of time, and should just be used for positive entertainment or to alleviate stress or pressure from your ACTUAL life.
It's not a thing to invest your life into.
@Metr🤭din I think its a passion, I think its okay to be invested in something you're passionate about, it doesn't necessarily have to be tied to monetary gain for it to be relevant to someone's life.
I think your argument could be made about almost anything we do in our lives.
My problem was that I became too competitive and it got in the way of simply just enjoying the game. Playing games both casually and competitively is something I've done for a very long time. Becoming toxic was my fault, so instead of venting frustration in all caps on these forums i tried to put out some perspective. Maybe for others with similar issues but mostly for myself.
@Irres169 Didn't really think this post would get traction but for the most part its been positive, which is good. I think sometimes we allow things to get in the way of just having a good time.
Its more or less just a reflection piece for myself, kind of a thinking out loud kind of thing. I still play competitively but i also step back and tell myself that its not that big of deal. And I've been having a better time just chillin, coasting through diamond lobbies. I also just don't want to be that invested in the toxic community within apex, at least among most high rank players.
