Horrible teammates
Why are my teammates so horrendous??!!!!! I swear to god I cant be the only one who always outperforms their teammates and feels like every game is a 1v3 especially in arenas!

@Palette24carats"Your teammates are horrendous because they are RANDOM teammates."
Ever heard of Gaussian distribution ? If it would be completely random, we should see Teammates across the board , not only the bottom of the foodchain 95% of the time, like some of us experience. I would not get Octanes as mates every 3rd game (which would mean 33% of players had to use octane, but from what i read its 10%). I can have a great time if my "random" mates actually know how to play the game, doesnt matter if i know them or not, they should know the gameplay tho. But the MM (i dont call it SB, bcs its mostly not skillbased, at least what i define as skill) prevents that from happening, while dealing me people that actually dont know how to play the game.
@Palette24carats Oh you wanna be king that deserves it all ?
Bcs i just want mates and enemies on roughly a same skill-bracket, and that should be very much possible and not too much to ask. im even willing to wait some minutes until the game starts (not like those content creators ...).
put those skill-brackets into a FFA style shooting range until 60 people are ready. let them assign the teams themselves up until a timer gets off, timeout unassigned/afk players , fill-up again and start.
If there are that many bad solo q players as you suggest, Queuetimes should not even be changing for them.
I clearly dont want a win handed to me by lowering the lobby skill (or giving me masters and preds on my side) by MM just to make me win when it thinks i deserve one, those wins feel like s**t.
id rather loose at 10th place but having had a good and fair time.
@Palette24caratsWhat privilege ? to "play against similar skilled opponents" (and maybe mates) as the game promised us ? That's not privilege but a broken promise ...
There are quite some options to measure basic skill, way better than using KD , since it will weight the lucky frags too heavy (my record is 2 kills with 6dmg ... would not say that was any form of skill. but pure luck) and would make the situation even worse than is now, bcs everyone would only play for KD.A healthy mix of dmg per game, revives/respawns, ult usage, time to loot, travel speed/movement, average ring number per game,TTL in crowded areas, whatever. this should roughly tell if one is a novice, advanced or master player.
Kd doesnt tell if the player is eg. a good defensive lifeline that is there when the team needs her, not making any frags at all but reviving the "offense" mates to secure the win.
Make it like the Crossplay option, if you would like to solely play on your skill level, you get put into a seperate queue and might have to wait longer for a game to start, maybe similar to the custom matches already in place for tournaments, im fine with that.
@Palette24caratsyou always bring up the "best" team mates. idk what you are reading, surely not my posts ... also that privilege blabla ?!?! i said same "skill-bracket" team mates and opponents. that doesnt mean the "best" , but the most suitable to make a leveled match.
"Your data still doesnt differentiate that."
I made an list of examples, ending with "whatever" ... means : there is a lot more metadata you can take into account to fit the needs, pretty sure you can differentiate quite good on what Respawn has collected so far ...
You might have some kind of relief soon according to this tweet from today
Take "Time to Loot" for instance, doesnt matter if youre more focused on either attack or def, that number will def. tell you if smb is a complete beginner or not. no advanced player spends half an hour thinking of which hop-up would be the best for which weapon. smb who literally flys through the lootmenu has a good chance of being well advanced.
Usage of certain advanced movement also indicates deeper ingame knowledge, no matter the playstyle.
You might even be able to fingerprint certain playstyle traits, to determine which teammates actually fit.
Combine Aggros with alike, combine the slow-game lovers. would make the game much more enjoyable for everyone. I guess the new hardcore mode could be a step into this direction.
