@TheApexLegendNub At the end of the day, if you disagree, or if people do so, they still have creative licence and do what they want of the game. If you're not pleased with it, that's as much ok than if they were answering to all whims of community, only for the game to end as garbage as it happened so often for other games.
Data+a vision for the game is a rational approach vastly superior to :
-people who have an interest changing something
-people who want to change something because they're pissed off (for the wrong reasons, not wanting to look the real reasons for failure, because mirror hurts)
-people from competition who want to poison the game
...
When you read cautiously, most of the positive input, they take it into account when it comes in agreement with what they want to do with the game.
They wanted the arena to be fun and balanced, they changed the whole economy (and I won't be able to play the same anymore, but it's for the best, so bye bye my overpowered snipe+8x sight first turn...).
Which was something asked by players.
They nerfed the Spitfire.
They boosted the 30-30.
etc.
Eventually, they will adjust Punches too, and various things.
But when they want to balance legend, they don't base off only pick rates, that's a false assumption, that's vastly more complicated than that.
They will be able to tell if it is good with good players, average players, bad players, for offensive/defensive/balanced players and see if for each population, it gives them an edge over using other legends...
And I can't start to imagine the whole bunch of data they have to analyse (but
@EA_David, if you can pass remarks, I think many people would be interested by Data analytics from Respawn data scientists/analysts from the game, like some dating website did (I can share the reference for instance by MP, if you wish, I think that telling a brand there could get me banned or edited) on their blog. Or at least, as a data scientist, I am😉)
