Is spectate mode always this strange, or was this a one-off experience? I ask because Halo 4 killcam was notoriously laggy and inaccurate. Everything it showed you happened, but it definitely didn't show you everything that happened... if that makes any sense... and anyone who counted on it to give them a legible post mortem was always convinced that their killer was cheating. Could this be the same thing?

I have always assumed that the spectate mode never was a true representation of the POV but Ive never seen it actually show something that isnt possible in the game like the crosshair for instance.I dont know what technique is used for Apex spectator mode but Kill cams are usually something different since it, just like replays in most games, are just "recreated" from data points locally at the client who watches it (thats why a replay of a 1h match can be 10 mb and not 2gb as a screen caption movie file would have been) . I remember when kill cams and replays was added to PUBG and the hacker accusations went crazy since everyone thought they got killed by a no-recoil scripter but that was because the replay/kill cam techology couldnt recreate the exact crosshair position so it smoothen it out.
But I think it would be very strange if they used this technique live for spectating..
