HUGE Issue with Healing Items

Whenever I use a healing item in S17, I HAVE to wait a second or so AFTER the fact for the item to "apply". If I don't, it automatically acts like I never ever healed. This was a problem in previous seasons, but only affected the phoenix kit, now its affecting ALL healing items.

Today, I had lost a match because I was unable to get to the next ring due to my healing items not working and we only had 1 heat shield left amongst the whole team. Luckily it was only pubs, but still. In the examples below, the game threw the "input lag" icon on both, while the one where I was Ballistic, also had the "prediction error" icon show up.

While testing this in the firing range to see if it would happen again, everytime I finished using a shield battery or a phoenix kit, the prediction error was thrown. While using a medkit, a syringe, and a shield cell threw no errors. I've even tried using an ultimate accelerant, and it threw no errors. It appears in the main game, including the mixtape modes, healing items are (at least for me), bugged and given an additional second of use time.

Order of gifs/images below:
- Gif of the healing item not applying
- Image 1 showing Ballistic on the team, which is proof this is in S17
- Image 2 showing game performance and proof that its from the same match as the gif
- Image 3 showing a better view of the game's performance, with the error icon clearly displayed alongside the ping I had during the match
- Image 4/5, (Exclusive to the example where I was Ballistic) showing when the game threw the prediction error, this error didn't last the whole time, and was gone before the medkit was finished being used

This to me further supports @Balladalidila's claims mentioned here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Feedback/Its-obvious-that-this-game-doesnt-have-a-clue-what-your-inputs/m-p/12547970#M104575

  • @E9ine_AC Last Apex update seemed to have fixed both the healing issue and a frames issue I was having. (With the frames, if I look around too quickly, I lost frames and it was hard to do 180 turns and such. This seemed game related, and not related to updates such as graphics.)

  • This is a serious issue, I'm surprised no one else is complaining about it. Its really annoying finishing a healing item, going to move, and the game pretends I didn't use the healing item. It even does this with the audio:

Legend: Hold up, using a Phoenix kit...
*healing item finished being used sound*
Legend: One sec, using a Phoenix kit...

The Phoenix kit was JUST used, but the game doesn't care. In the video below, you can see it go from 0.2s and then it jumps to 9.9s when it starts to say "using a Phoenix kit" for the second time. I also tried repairing the game's files, clearing caches, etc. That doesn't fix the problem.

Still having this problem, which is most likely caused by the servers not knowing who's doing what. I once again died to the ring because I used a syringe, it finished (with me still having health left to take ring damage to), and it just flat out goes: "nah, you didn't heal, so we're going to count that as a death".

This honestly isn't even fair and wasn't even that big of an issue in previous seasons. Like S15, even in S13, it *sometimes* happened, like 1 in every 10 games. Now its almost every single game and is far more likely to happen when trying to heal during a fight.

@Midnight9746 Can not say I have encountered that this season. Mind you ive only put in like 200 matches or so. I could see no one responding to the thread or more reports of it. I would think its quite an isolated issue due to not one speaking on it. I know you do not want the response I will give you but this seems to be something possibly on your end.
