I am just here to complain about loot boxes
I stopped buying EA games or giving money to EA because everything they have done lately has locked content that is core to a game hidden as DLC or in loot boxes. This happened with Star Wars Battlef...

On one hand I disagree. Game is completely free, heroes are unlockable for free.
On the other hand, from a business perspective I am... surprised by their pricing model.
$20 per hero, that you can (quite slowly) unlock? Who will buy that?
Were it me I would have priced it $8... because I strongly believe they would get way more than just 3 times people buying legends with this more reasonable price...
But what do I know? Maybe they are right.....

Thing about loot boxes is, they are gambling. No dancing around it.
In many cases you may not be able to sell what you win and monetize it, but it is still gambling. It uses the same psychological tactic etc.
There is more reasons as to why gambling is regulated - not only the money but also the addictivness of it.
Lootboxes are officially gambling in at least one state right now (Belgium). And some others are at very least regulating them - like Japan and China I think.
So Loot Boxes purchased for real money (or currency purchasable for real money) shouldn't be in any game that is expected to be played my minors. Or any game at all for that matter.
Gambling doesn't belong to videogames.
I love Apex Legends and it get's a lot of slack for being Free to Play. But Loot Boxes should not be in it.

My entire point is on the value that they have placed their items. This is like Starwars BF2 all over again with the $80 Darth Vader thing.
I like buying loot boxes but I know from my experience with the ones I have got so far that you get * all and EA always lets you gain items for people you haven't unlocked yet, there are so many items and not everything is good.
So many currency systems too. To me the game paying side feels like a money grabbing scheme and I don't want to feel like that.
