i cant gift battle pass

I am having issues sending a gift to a friend. His friends with me on ps5 console and also on Apex. We normally play together and somehow when I’m trying to send him a gift or he tries to send me gift, we don’t appear under each other’s friends list. We ensured EA verification status is logged on, cross platform is also on and we’ve been friends on apex and console longer than a yr and we’re both not banned or anything. Any suggestions to get this resolved? It’s so frustrating dealing with this going on issue.
