Most of your problems are solved by just not jumping so hot.... Is it a fun solution? Perhaps not but it seems like you are very bothered by the RNG at hot drops. I dunno if you are a 1 KD player with or without including early leaves but it seems to me that you perhaps would have a better time if you jump a bit safer, perhaps with only one other squad. Then you get some action/practise right away without having to deal with that much loot rng
