Are you Diamond 4, maybe even stuck at 0 RP progression? Because if you are, its probably how Respawn designed the ranked SBMM for this season.  I very recently played an account from Plat 4 to Diamond 3 and to me, it seems like the average skill level of opposition of my matches gradually increased through out the entire rank progression, unlike how it was last season when you pretty much got matched against the same level of opposition from Plat4 until you reached Diamond 4. Last season, this basically meant that if you were good enough to progress out of Plat 4, then you would eventually reach Diamond 4 given enough time, which imao is a poorly designed rank system. You never heard of people saying "Im hard stuck in plat 2"; you only saw people stuck either in plat 4 or diamond 4, right?

So if you are stuck at 7200 RPs in D4, and "constantly" get matched with (and presumably against) golds and plats, then it maybe just indicates that the average skill of your match actually is lower than your own, giving you a fair chance of getting out of D4 since you at least should be the factor that turns the match in your favor.

Ranked was/is broken af????? Last ranked game I played was a week or 2 ago. My teammates were a gold 3 and a silver 2. At 7pm on a weeknight. I am/ was Plat 2. Champion squad Diamond 3 and 4 with a Plat 2. Same crap different season last season it was Diamond lobbies were predator champion squads. This season Respawn is we will shake it up a bit. We'll give you lower tier teammates in both pubs and ranked and see how much you enjoy it. 

I gave up. Ranked is a joke, pubs aren't any better. Waiting for the reset to go back to kings canyon just to play that for a bit and probably taking a long and perhaps permanent break from this game. I don't know what it is about this game that keeps drawing me back to it. But as of right now I just see the lag and hit reg along with dodgy at best matchmaking as being a source of frustration that I will leave others to deal with. 

If you can/ have fond a pre-made to play with hopefully they will stick it out. I am at over 150 new and older friends who no longer play Apex, and am just sick of making a career out of finding people whose playstyle and attitude meshes with mine when in game.

Oh thats sounds horrible. I would also be super pissed if I got teamed with gold randoms in D3 matches,  which for me usually have at least 40% last season preds.  Through out my way from Plat4 to Plat1, I got a few golds in my game but D4 was the absolute highest ranked player in all my games. When I reached Diamond 4 I didnt see any golds more but quite a few Platinums and in Diamond 3 I see only Diamonds and higher.

Just a guess but maybe its a player count problem? If too few players near your rank are in the queue, maybe the matchmaker widens the upper and lower thresholds, allowing players further away from you in to your match? Well, thats why I never play diamond ranked solo. It would make me rage for real =)

Played one game. 1 tonight. Played ranked because maybe I will get a decent teammate with the reset. I was silver 1 my 1 teammate is bronze 1 and the other is silver 4 . We land and die within a minute. The squad that killed us, diamond 4, plat 1 and plat 2. I am sorry * you respawn. I spent most of season 3 fighting off predators and just trying to stay alive in ranked and pubs. This is just getting * sick. Btw I couldn’t possibly play with a friend in plat let alone diamond. So good * job on your system. Again this is at 7 in the evening cst. So in essence take 2 weeks off at the start of every season because you will get fuc()? By people 2 or 3 tiers above you. Gg there. Off to play Doom for awhile now.

Well. I'm not a diamond, but i got to plat yesterday thinking: finaly I'll be not paired with gold 4 fortnite kids who can't loot or cover, and would be able to get experience in faster gamplays with my teams. Today I'm silver, paired with 2 (yes 2 teammates in same game) bronce 4s in 8 GAMES, where I see diamond and predator dive trails. WTH is this??? It must to be easier get HIV while being virgin than get this bad matchmaking/luck. I have not raged or tilted once in this game, and I could carry a bit of that crappy matchmaking to get some points and, eventualy, get players with my lvl and win some games (yeah, probably bc the other teams got those bad players). But today's expierence was ridiculous and paynful to play. Considering to stop ranking, play 2 games in a week with some friends, if they even want anymore, and eventualy leave this game behind.

Edit: last 3 games were only silvers (probably old plats and golds, we pulled a win in the last one). I think it's getting balanced. I was thinking in deleting the post, but I'll leave it for sharing the first 20 games experience, cos it ruined my day.
