I'm an average FPS player. I did play whole season 0 and a little bit of season 3. Never played ranked, played the game for pure casual fun. I was pretty good in my tier, got some wins, got some cool badges etc. I had fun. Recently I was bored I and thought I should play some apex. I don't remember my account credentials so I register a new one. Being an average FPS player bot lobbies are what there are, but even in bot lobby most kills I got is 15(there are A LOT of smurf there). After few blatant bot lobbies, I did start to have fun, I got some kills, got few wins, but I did die a lot too. Before level 12 I feel like playing with people around same skill I had. Because of bot lobbies and because me being average player my k/d got to 4.5. After level 12 lobbies became pure hell. Why am I, again an average player, match with 500 lvl players with 20.000 kills? What should I do, land and die for a week so my k/d drop to 1.0? Or do I need to register a new account and play intentionally bad so I get placed in lobbies of my skill later on? Is player base becoming so small, so there no more room for a casual game anymore? MOBA games which are notorious for their steep learning curve for beginners seems child’s play in compassion to this. How new players can start playing the game, when after a handful of more o less fairly matched lobbies, their being tossed in games where there are being lasered instantly after landing? Please fix your matchmaking.

@OtocyonMegaloti How can you think you deserve to be in bot lobbies? You just said you are dropping 15 kills. As if you deserved more? While you did just create the account the game has finally said ok you are not going to ruin the game experience for new players just for your ego. Now your being placed with some of the best because well you got a 4.5 k/d to start. If your k/d is 2.0 or higher then your going to be put with the best.Its not casual to other players when a above average player can come wreck the lobby and ruin the experience for possibly new players joining the game. You was placed exactly where you belonged.

Just an FYI, your K/D doesnt mean *. I have a similar situation. Used to play on PS4. Did ok, stopped playing for a while because the servers are SO BAD on PS4. Laggy etc... blah blah blah. So now im on PC. Had a blast from level 1-10 as I was in bot lobbies, but that was fair because I was learning kb&m. I hit level 12 and now im playing in lobbies with level 500 players with thousands of kills, level 50 players with over 9k kills. I have a .52 K/D!!!! does that sound like im king of the fricken hill. Most kills in a lobby ever??? Hell NO!! SBMM is a pile of garbage that needs to be fixed. It wont be. We have all posted on this topic and many other issues that have persisted since day one. It'll never change. Fixing things doesnt make them money. New skins do!! EA, if you have a different opinion, please respond. You wont.

(I know this, because I quietly flanked the team, and all 3 if them were pre-aiming where I was sneaking up from, and teams randomly jump us in matches, and then after we die, they jump another team 100+ meters away, that and the obvious use of aimbot and anti recoil).At one point, ranked was fairly balanced. I was able to win and survive more often, and players were around my skill level. Winning fights were easier. The next day, it was back to being tossed back into the lobby. My guess is that a lot of cheaters got banned the day before and they had already bypassed their bans.

This is very similar to your situation, according to this post making a new account won’t allow you to play in bot lobbies again and you will just be matched up with sweats

@E9ine_AC I crated new account not to kill newbs for my ego, because I don’t have access to my first account. And even if I had, I didn’t play the game for a year, so my current skill is much lower when I last used that account. Even so, I meant, when above average player enters bot lobbies he drops 20 bombs left and right (seen it on youtube). I got only few pure bot lobbies form lvl 1-5(3 games) then from 5-12 lobbies were petty decently matched.
I emphasize that I'm extremely average, casual to the bone, and I can't play the damn game.
I just experiment a little bit.
On the same account played few ranked matches(first time ever) and to my surprise they were matched quite fairly. Player lvl 50-200, around same skill as me. Of 5 matches I won 2, with decent damage. Ranked is new pubs now I guess.
Remembered I had an account I played for a week of season 4, lvl 50 k/d 1.5 trying it now at its seems like it's better but still pretty sweaty.
It's almost like there only two skill brackets: lowest of low new players who doesn’t know how to strafe, and people who play the game religiously - movement and aim gods who had 2000 hours in game, and there no middle where I can play and enjoy the game.

I realize it’s an old issue, just watch a bunch of rants on YouTube on that topic. So YouTube/Streamers who from my perspective are playing like gods themselves, are complaining that they are matched with premade squads of Predators every game, so this is a problem that hits players of all skill level, its just bizarre that respawn doesn’t fix this.
I’m straggling for two weeks now and it’s this point I don’t want to play anymore, so I will not buy that sweet@ss skin for 15$ so I don’t get it even from EA’s money hungry point of view its weird.
Also there is another hero based tactical shooter, start with Over ands with watch I did play way back around it’s release, and for some reason there I was played in matches according to my skill, weird stuff.

Today I hit my smurf account to lvl 15 and whola predators as enemy but that's ok if I wouldn't recive +70% extra ping for no reason and big input lag and 3/4 bullets not registered and around 1-2 seconds delay on every enemy.. before rank 15 my bullets were actually doing dmg my avg dmg in 30 games was 1.5k I make 2k dmg EZ every game. After 5 games played in rank 15 my avg dmg drops and k/d goes from 5 to 3 just like that...It feels like we get put into a matrix of your stupid mm system!!! If u respawn kids think we are stupid you must be total wrong! your game is a JOKE and nothing more... (and I also feel sorry for all those noobs I have destroyed in game.. it was just a smurf - server test) PEACE

Yes, SBMM is completely broken and has been for a while. I am an average player and get paired with and against much better players ALL the time. It is absolute trash.

But even the people with low kd are put into lobbies that people with 1000+ kills. My buddy have a .9 kd and got preds as his champion
