To enter rank, the requirement should be level 100 and up. All these low level players are ruining the game. I'm tired of smurphs, and I'm tired of these bot/noob/terrible teammates. I had a player who didn't help the team and purposely ran away from me and the other random, and they just sat there, twerking and laughing as our banners timed out. Legit had report this guy on help.ea as well, but for real, please keep these people in pubs until they're level 100.
To reach rank 100 you would need over 110 hours of in-game playtime, that's way too much IMO.
Other games typically require you to be level 20 to 25 before being able to play competitive, something like that wouldn't be all too bad.
I have nothing against increasing min req level for ranked to 100 but I honestly dont think it will help one bit when it comes to the issues you are describing. As a matter of fact; as a solo player, you are forced by the system to play egoistically like the guy who ran away from you. From your POV, he ran away and didnt help but from his POV, maybe you ran into a fight he didnt want to take. Who knows; maybe he pinged "back", and "no" several times but no one listened etc etc.. So many times have I rushed to a premade duos aid just to get totally screwed by them, for instance; I try to help, the premade duo decides, on their private discord, to back away, leaving me to die... And when stuff like that happened too many times, you learn from your mistakes and never trust a premade duo before they actually proves to you that they will treat you equally.
All comes down to how bad this game is to play with randoms, ESPECIALLY premade duos, its really as simple as that; there are really no viable fixes for this. And me, as a human with my own free will, can choose to play solo but then I guess I have to play by its rules. If that becomes too unbearable, I always have to choice to play with premades. Solo has its charm and so do playing with premades.
Also, I think its maybe too harsh to complain about bot/noob/terrible teammates when you play in Bronze4 =)
It's because EA/Respawn says it's a "Team-based Game" but in reality it isn't. Matchmaking is hot garbage, the community is toxic, and the bugs are rampant. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they just stopped caring for the game and only released Seasons with skins.
Riot says LoL is a team-based game, yet solo queue is actually 10x more toxic than Apex. The thing that saves you is that you are at least guaranteed the lane phase without having to think about your teammates that much (even though the match can be lost on the other side of the map as your Yasou top feeds 0/10 in 10 minutes). Same goes for CS or Valorant, also "team-based games" . Super toxic when solo queuing with randoms.
My point is that Apex is not better or worse than any big, competitive, team based PvPs. Toxicity and a tilting gaming experience is unavoidable when playing with randoms in a a team game if their performance and your teamwork is directly affecting the outcome of you game. The solution is, and always has been; premades!!!

They literally ran away from the very first fight we encountered, they didn't ping or anything. They just shot one person and then took off.
Was more referring to the screenshots of your trolling teammate who was Bronze4.. But its totally messed up if a Bronze4 solos can be teamed with gold4 in average gold/high silver lobbies, assuming you were Gold4 at the moment of the screenshot. All I mean was that you cant really expect a Bronze4 teammate to know up from down.
And there are ofc plenty of jerks in this game. But once again; I kinda stand by with my very pragmatic point of view that playing with randoms is a risk you willingly take when choosing to play as a solo queuer. I just cant think of any solutions that would work to fix this so therefore, I also dont see any reasons to complain. Should there be a law, enforced by punishment, that you, as a solo, MUST go in and die with your two randoms/premade duo?
OFc his "twerking" was unneccisery but I have found myself in plenty of situations where I, as a solo with a premade duo, literally spams "lets go here" away from the fight and they just ignore me, dies and blames me.
As a solo queuer, I will always prioritize whats best for me and I advice anyone else playing solo queue to do the same. The frustration otherwise would be unbearable
I agree that the old system was much better for solo queuing players. But I still think they are on the right track with the changes. In the old system, it said very little about you as a player if you were a Gold4 or a Diamond4. I had IRL friends with 0.8 overall KD who managed to grind to Diamond4 which is supposed to be the first "high elo" rank.
But I think the new system need adjustments for sure because its really only playable as a premade duo or trio. Ive been hearing rumors that they are exploring some kind of handicap for solo queuers, like RP bonus etc. Hope this is true.
