It’s true... Some players have difficulty adapting to a game that requires a level of situational awareness that goes above just knowing where the closest enemy is.
I find myself running from the ring often just to run into another team. Lately it's been running from place to place because my team is *somehow* always in the middle of everyone else. One of my matches yesterday lasted long enough for the ring to be 3 stages away from being closed. (Big enough to where you can see someone within 300-400 or so meters) and guess what? 11 teams were still alive.
We placed 3rd, but there point is that everyone was camping the outer ring, picking off people who escaped it, while attacking those inside. We had two places on the map where enemies could flood into from the last ring and everyone pushed from the same side.
While it's fun to be in battles more often in season 3, it's not fun to be 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th+ partied. Whether there's a small grace period or not. This is Apex Legends, not the opening of Hunger Games where everyone dashes for a weapon and then about 50% of everyone gets killed.
