I agree.. Although we're now in season 3. The last two rings are ridiculously horrible. My squadmate and I just spent an entire game wiping out 4 other squads. only to be forced to run around a F**King mountain by the ring on world's edge. The ring literally hit more than half my HP in one shot and it ignores armor too. there is no time to even attempt to heal yourself.
We wiped out 4 squads only to let the last team win because they were lucky enough to be on the other side of the F**King mountain with no possible way through it and getting killed by the ring killing you before you can press your medkit bind. even in the case where you can pull it out and start healing.. you will be killed anyway directly after that medkit heals you to full hp
What the * EA. what the actual *. I haven't been this pissed off at a game in a good amount of time.
I agree with the OP. Running away from fights deliberately to get into the zone isn't fun at all and ruins the BR experience.
The ring damage size needs to be moved back closer to season 1. The ring serves a purpose but it's a bit too much at the moment. The current ring damage size encourages More camping not less

@RP_Options Yeah I still think this is a problem and undermines an important part of the game. The problem was made even worse in a S3 update as they increased the ring speed so you couldn't even outrun it. The other thing with S3 is the map, which has some serious bottlenecks which are easy for players to camp and wait... that, increased ring damage and speed is, imo, encouraging passive, safe, camping type play and punishing people for taking chances, fighting and being aggressive. Mechanically Apex is such a fast, fluide and kinetic game it seems a shame to undermine that with this meta of having to fight/beat the ring itself more than the other players.
