About camping: it does not need to be discouraged. Camping is fine the way it is. People love to make it sound like you can just sit in a corner and win, but that's not at all the case. The circles close quite fast, so the only way you can really camp for a while is if you already know where it's going to end and get there early, but even then you need to make sure that you get enough loot to actually stand a chance, which usually isn't easy because there are almost always people dropping into the circle right away.
@nooblet123Right on...camping is a valid strategy/play style too with its own pros/*.
I didn't mean to give the impression that it should be discouraged per se, agree with ya that it shouldn't be (really play style is just personal preference).
If the majority of players camped in solo matches most of the time, then solos would become dull and boring for most players (that would be my guess anyways). I think the fast pace of Apex is what draws and hooks many gamers...it did me.
So little tweaks to help keep the aggressive play style viable in solos, as a counterbalance to camping, would be a good thing IMO.
Hopefully that makes sense 😃

If everyone camped, then the circle would constantly be forcing people into fights and there would be action throughout the whole round. What causes boring moments is that 40 out of 60 players drop in the same general area and all kill each other in the first 3 minutes. Then there's a long period afterwards where there are relatively few players alive over still a large area.
