@BalladalidilaThat's been happening to me a lot. I would run up to bins and tap e to pick up a few things, and I would purposely skip one of the guns that I didn't want, and would pick up, (for example) an Alternator and a Wingman, and the game would just auto switch the Wingman out for a gun like the Mozambique that I only looked at on my mouse movement towards ammo or a healing item.
Yet after it forces the gun out of my hands, it refuses to respond to another tap and when I hold e to actually switch weapons, it would repickup the Wingman but then switch it back out for the Mozambique.
I've gotten killed so many times because the game thought I wanted to drop a fully kitted when looting ammo.
The issue mainly happens when I'm spam tapping e. I'm guessing with the lag and terrible servers, its never told that I've let go of e so many times and ends up considering the taps as a held action.
While on the topic of the pickup button, controller players really do need a separate button or method for reviving, reloading, etc. while next to doors. While I was trying out a controller yesterday, it was highly annoying trying to heal next to a door as the "press button to open" persisted even when I had turned my back to the door.
"While I was trying out a controller yesterday..."
Not to get off-topic here, but why the try-out? How did it go? And do you have any opinions to share on the infamous aim assist debate?
- Midnight97462 years agoHero+@reconzero It felt different compared to previous seasons, while mouse and keyboard still rules over a controller, in some ways a controller just felt easier to use. Although actions like reloading or healing next to a door just opens the door instead.
I've talked more about it here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Feedback/S16-Aim-Assist/m-p/12546117#M104562
