Kind of my point about snipers in general. You're not going to get kills with the gun very often, you're better off in most situations just working your way closer to the enemy. That's kind of the reason I said snipers are so situational, and that they are more for assisting then they are for killing.
The Kraber is just another example of this, it just has the high damage potential for a single shot. Which is about how many you're going to get someone with anyway.
I don't disagree that it is certainly likely the enemy team is going to counter your teams push, but that is why you as the sniper need to continue to put rounds down range. I'm not even saying the Kraber is the better of the snipers to do this with. I'm just saying it has that strong initial damage output.
This whole thing covers more then just the Kraber. It brings attention to the usefulness of snipers in general. I would even argue that in most cases, you're better off using other weapons. The snipers are just lack luster in a lot of situations, and even if you're consistently hitting targets, without followup from your team, there isn't much point.
More often then not the enemy can simply hide, heal, and then be back in the fight in a few seconds. Faster then any of your team can reach them to actually make your shots worthwhile.
Now I am not gonna say that I haven't secured a few kills, or done some decent plays with the longbow and scout. Some situations are perfect for them. I am just saying that those situations are very far a few between, and that in most cases, you'd of been better off with just about any other weapon.
That though is why I stand with my opinion of snipers being more of an assist weapon than anything. Pop a few shots off, hope to do some damage, maybe break a shield, and then either cover your team as they go forward, or move forward yourself in hopes you can take advantage of those first initial shots.

That whole post is correct.
The SMGs and ARs are such laser beams in this game that there's virtually no point in using a sniper at all. Just use an automatic and aim at their feet. Hold for 2 shots or 3 or 4 depending on your barrel stabiliser and you'll get higher DPS than if you use a so called "sniper rifle". This is what I started to do. Just use the light-ammo SMG or AR to two or three-tap people. It's way more effective since by the time you get to super long range the bullet drop and travel time meant that shooting at the enemy does nothing but give away your position, to the one you're shooting at and everyone else in the area.
