First,

This has largely been fixed. I have not had any kicks or .net or .leaf errors recently. Given the penalty was not active for much of Season 2 ranked, and will only come into effect for Season 3 ranked. This likely won't be an issue. You're just flaming for the sake of attention instead of looking at facts.
Unless of course, you have ISP issues, poor connection issues or otherwise. But those are YOUR issues.
Second,
"The restriction to leave when I am dead if I can be re-spawned is ridiculous...."
Alot of what you said here is your experience, which is subjective and based on who you play with and at what level. It does not speak to the entirety of everyones experience, so please again, stop fanning flames of drama.
If you can be brought back into the game, and you leave, you should be punished. Your squadmates risked picking up your banner and will try to respawn you. Taking squads on 2 vs 3 is nearly impossible at higher rank unless you have an element of surprise. Therefore, they NEED to respawn you.
It's starting to sound like you're part of the leaver problem if you like to leave before you can be respawned. Hence, this punishment is for you 🙂

As with many others, it just sounds like you could care less about teammates, their experience and team based play. You simply want to play an FPS game where you are only accountable for yourself. Well, bad news Pepega, Apex Legends was built around team based play, strategy and outcome. Ranked will always encompass that.
I hope they bring back solo's just for you, so you can leave people in ranked team based play alone.

While this had been fixed to some extent respawn themself still admit there is problems. While I will say as of now its like 1 in 10 instead of 8/10. However the question is does a DC count as leaving? If not then the punishment is easily bypassed just by closing the app or dropping connection so you get DC.

Want to know why they picked up my banner? To loot my stuff and never respawned.
Overall,
Your reply is honestly just a fan boy comment. You gave no actuall input to the issue just your OWN experience. The same thing you complain about me for. You failed to address the concerns other than flamming saying how im wrong and its my own fault. However there is many reports and people who experience the same things.
The punishment fails to deal with the core issue. Let respawn show some stats on how often solo players get respawned. I can guarantee its under 10%. I have clips of team mates letting me die just to loot when I go solo.
Punish players for leaving at the start of match I agree with. However punishing players who dont wish to watch people run around for 20 minutes with no intention of respawning is ridiculous in a game thats already loosing huge amounts of players.

So you die before your team mates in 10 out of 10 games? There's your issue. If you are playing like an idiot you will not endear yourself to team mates. For this to happen in every game, I suggest looking at your own actions.

My mistake,
I meant that in 10 games where as I am killed or knocked. Not 10 consecutive games. My win rate is around 20% with most games going till top 3 while still going for kills not just camping all game.Due to my mistake in how I worded I will not comment about the clear attack on my gameplay.
However the idea the leaver penalty was needed ignores many clear issues with in the game that leads to people quitting mid game.1. There is no incentive to play for a res or banner when playing with randoms.
The game gives no real reason to push for a banner or to play for the res. Unlike with premade groups.2. No group finder
If leaving is such a large issue the first fix would be to make finding teams easier in-game. While the ability to invite the person you was playing with is a step it still lacks heavily. A group finder similar to games like Overwatch would easily see this changed.3. No options
Next is the options given to the player. This game fails to give players other modes that allow for single play style or duo. Making Duo and Solo a fixed aspect would fix this.4. Griefing
Another big think to think about is how easy this is to abuse as a grief mechanic. I have been in games where people are shouting abuse and swearing or using racist slurs. When there dead I am normally glad as they normally bring nothing to the team and are more of a hindrance than a help. Now I will make sure to kill the enemy team and leave them. Now they will be forced to wait nearly 3 minutes before they can leave. Going to be funny watching these people get banned because of me griefing ^,^5. Play Count,
Another large issue is the lack of players already in this game. Banning or suspending people because they dont want to watch people hide the whole game is going to see the player base dive.
Overall,
People complaining and wanting this leave penalty are short sighted and failed to deal with the core issue rather than the results. Respawn is to blame and instead of fixing the issue there fixing the results caused by the issue. People leaving is the result of not having alternative modes that allow for smaller squads. Instantly when you ad solo and duo into the game the amount of people leaving mid game will drop drastically in squads. Because most of the people leaving are solo players who enjoy the game but dont want to be stuck in a squad where 9/10 times the players are lower skill level.
Im just waiting now.
I cant wait to see all the reports complaining about how people dont get resed and are forced to be stuck in game due to it. I cant wait to see all the reports of people being left to die and waiting 3 minutes before they can leave. Also I bet its the same people complaining for the penalty who will be the first to cry in this community when they are stuck in games because of there own stupid wants with out thinking.
So lets wait and see.

I'll just say, I've recovered banners for team mates and had some great plays doing so. I also do not need an "incentive" to recover banners and neither should anybody else. It's part of the game and in my interests to keep team mates in the game.
It's some of the people playing this game are the biggest issue. Unfortunately Respawn cannot fix that. If I and others can play as intended then the game is working.
I'd rather there be a leaving penalty to punish selfish idiots tbh.
I also think you should not be about to drop solo, or split from your team until landed, but it's been nearly a year, and still there is a large chunk of the community that doesn't have a clue what's expected of them in a team game. They'll just cry for solos.
You cannot expect the game to fix peoples behaviour. The leaver penalty is all that's needed.
