This is going to kill the game, watch. One of the best things about Apex is if you are playing with an unfavourable person you do not have to play with them, you can leave the game and instantly join another. You do not have to deal with other peoples bad behaviour, bad game play, or douchebag'ness. It's non stop action without dealing with the crap of millions of other people. This is what sets Apex apart from the rest and they are going to change it? It's absolutely perfect the way it is now.I don't have to deal with players whom solo drop.I don't have to deal with players whom scream in voice chat.I don't have to deal with players whom troll in game.I don't have to deal with players whom don't play as a team.I don't have to deal with players whom are not good.I don't have to deal with anything I do not want to and it's bloody beautiful, The little time I have to play Apex legends is not wasted on other people!! I disagree. If you stop playing because of a 5 minute ban, because you’re a poor salty sport and rage quit early, then maybe you should re-think your values. If you stop playing because they are making the game fair for everyone who actually tries to tough it out, then BBBYYEEEEEEEEEE!Problem solved.If you have a problem with peoples mic’s, mute them.Problem solved. No need to leave.if you have a problem with someone launching solo, then follow them. Or meet up with them.Problem solved.There is more than one way to play the game, not just your way. best example why it was implemented in a match yesturday:a guy with 3k kills in my team. we went into a fight with several squads. he got downed. i went over to him to pick him up since it looked like no one was around anymore.apparently one solo guy was still around ran up behind me and for some reasons i didnt hear the footsteps. i got downed before picking him up. he immediately raged at me over voice, how i could not hear the footsteps, noob and what not and quit immediately.the 3rd guy on our team picked me up and we got into the last 4 teams when we died in a 2 vs 3 fight.THIS is why this game needs and has the punishment system, because of over-salty, elitist players.thats the other view of your so called freedom to not need to put up with other players in a team game...and btw. you know what you sign up for, when you join a random group of 3 people... get a pre-maid team if you can't put up with that, easy fix.

Bring down the ban hammer! The only thing killing this game is people who dont k ow how to play as a team.It's at its absolute worst when dealing with people who quit constantly. They didnt get the legend they wanted, they ran off, died and didnt give anyone a chance to grab thier banner. Those two things happen every other March and its the main reason I dont play anymore.Add solos while you're at it to shut up people who want to do that and whine it'll kill the game.

All of you guys advocating for leaver punishment don't really grasp how terrible it is for this game. You CAN'T have a leaver punishment system in this game with its current team of 3 structure, and here are a few reasons.Someone raging at you and then leaving isn't a reason for leaver penalties, it's a reason for reporting players for poor behaviour penalties.When I get placed with a jumpmaster that wants to land at the furthest point possible from the starting point, I have very little interest in being in that game. Why should I be forced to land at the end of the map, not see anyone until its 5 squads left, shoot at maybe 2 people and effectively waste 15+ minutes? They implemented solo jumping probably to avoid situations like this. So now I jump solo, get in on some quick action, die, and go to a new game because my team still dropped at the furthest point in the map. Except now I can be punished because I didn't want to play farmville legends? What about when you queue with a duo team and they're total dbags? Yea sure you can mute them and start doing your own thing, but then you get downed and they just * you around some more. So I'm expected to sit there even longer and wait for the timeout while these guys are being *? This is yet again another reason why you need a bad behaviour reporting system. And we all know that the random disconnects and crashes haven't been addressed yet, people still disappear for no reason to no fault of their own. You'll end up punishing people because the game crashed or they disconnected and they will lose all interest in playing the game again.You can't jump into a game where you're forced to play with randoms and expect a perfect game every time. Poor behaviour should be addressed because some people are jackoffs, but there's a lot of reasons for someone to leave a game and a leaver punishment system will definitely ruin the game. This isn't League of Legends so stop trying to compare them to one another.

Leaver Penalty is going to ruin this game.

But why hasn't it killed league of Legends? those matches can last up to an hour and you have 2 extra people on your team to deal with haha.

If they ever add a ranked queue they will have to penalize quitters, no choice. It would be cheating and undermining the match maker.

Ok not sure why you keep bringing up lol constanly and i don't think you can equate the two.
As far as ranked goes, yes, if ranked gets added , make as harsh of a leaver penalty as possible but leave pubs alone and / or _LET US LEAVE DURING LOBBY_. Not after game has already started so at least if a person leaves the other two get booted out of the lobby and don't have to be a duo from the start.

Because its the most popular pc game in NA by far. More game companies should follow RIOT' s lead.

Why would you leave during lobby? Most quitting happens after someone is knocked. They wouldn't have to be a duo from the start cause at that point they can both leave without penalty.

Why the * would you ever implement a leaver penalty in this game? I haven't played in 2 or 3 weeks but I fired it up again today and, oh would you look at that. Wingman is still a piece of * that hasn't been touched, servers are still ridiculously laggy, and now they're implementing a leaver penalty? They're fast tracking this game to the graveyard real quick.

Because according to the internet™ at least half the leavers are leaving because they didn't get "their" legend during lobby (and if you look at the ideas going on in other threads i believe them).
