@ZD4000 When your a player like me who refuses to use your mic, typing when your knocked down is important but idk how many times I tried typing that someone was self resing or someone was healing/hiding etc but it got deleted so I had to retype and by then it was too late sometimes it even happened more than once... also if your someone like me that types way too much it messes up

Does Apex Legends has a higher requirement for your Mic ?

Apex's mic support is lacking in a number of important ways;
First and foremost the bitrate is very low and consequently the quality is atrocious.
Secondly the open mic activation logic is very primitive:
It has no/inadequate buffering, so you get clipping on the lead-in.
The volume activation is a simple threshold, without any logic to filter out momentary clicks/pops.
Finally, there's no open mic automatic calibration, leading to many having their settings incorrectly tuned.
I'd love it if respawn just embraced the need for decent 3rd party chat tools, and included integration for discord, teamspeak, etc.
