1) Stop complaining and learn how to counter the rez shield (its very easy, as noobs rush my teammates all the time back in season 8), 3v2 with 1 reviving isn't hopeful when they knock one and turn it into a 3v1. Even if the 3rd is revived, knock Lifeline, and that team is t o a s t.
2) As mentioned, delay like Valk's passive
3) Make the shield, knockdown shield base, to avoid having purple 300 or 500 (I forgot how much it protects against) hitpoints. On 2nd or higher revive, the shield could just keep the previous hitpoints. (The rez shield would be based off of what Lifeline has equiped). If the shield had 100 points, and you hit it for 50, and the player gets picked up, Lifeline would only have 50 points to protect them with on the next revive. Or the shields could just be scaled down to be both protective, but not Gib dome protected.
4) Change the width/height it protects the longer the revive goes. Say it takes 8 seconds to revive someone, the first 2, the shield is 8 meters wide, then the next 2, its 6 meters, etc. This would make it to where you can defend, the shield goes away, its not fully protecting your teammate at all times. and everyone can stop complaining that it's "too op".
5) A reverse of 4's, make the shield slowly deploy like Rampart's wall
6) Allow Revenant to silence a revive in progress. This wouldn't "stop" the revive, but it would take away the revive shield that's protecting the user, while also silencing their abilites. This could be slightly different as well, to where reviving a silenced player will still revive them with the drone, but the wall will not go up, even if Lifeline isn't silenced herself.
Apex Legends used to be a SKILLED BASE GAME, now its a Noob-Free-For-All as every skill, movement, tactics gets nerfed to the ground or removed. "We cant' hit Wraith" - even though she was one of the most knocked legends, "Pathfinder is grappling too much" - yet let legends like Horizon, Loba, and Valk's abilites do pretty much the same thing more often than not. "Octane is stimming too much" - even though that's part of his identity and him stimming is l e g i t not the end of the world. "Wattson is too good at defending an area" - goes and takes away her 3 pylons, giving her 1, then they make the 1 have a timer or something and then added back the other 2, but with timers, which is like the same as her initial release but timed, and then they "buffed" her with a slow as heck shield regen.
Pretty much how it goes is that if the legend is strong and noobs complain, that legend gets nerfed, while those that need a buff gets ignored until there's no strong legend and then its just a *blows off dust* "alright, time for you to shine!"
EA/Respawn killing the game more times than Bethesda, and Bethesda is like the CEO of game breaking bugs.
LOL at whoever think Lifeline was nerfed. She is actually getting a huge buff with tactical/ultimate buff, as well as no LP.
Her passive was garbage unfair, and to the guy above me that say, learn how to counter i will tell you, learn how to revive, not mindlessly push a Q, and get a free cover and take someone deserved kill. Instead revive tactically, and you are still able to be in the fight, which is a HUGE DPS boost. You can read, go check the stats about it.
Lifeline user should be happy they get such buffs, and they still let you have the auto-revive, even if its without the shield.
You either have shield and respawn manually, or you have auto and respawn without it, its that simple.

If you wanna talk big hit that @ button big boy.
You might just be someone who might want to look at COD or Counter-Strike, there aren't abilities in that game for you to be mad about. Again it's just a clash of people who want no abilities and people who want defined abilities. Everything is a potential DPS boost, ramparts passive, repositioning to high ground with loba/wraith/horizon/octane/pathfinder, wallhacks from bloodhound/crypto, slows/damage/stun from Caustic/Bang/Gibby/Crypto/Wattson.
If you allow a lifeline to full rez her teammate then it's your fault, if octane pads over your head and gets high ground on you then win the fight it's your fault, so on and so forth. You have to adapt to the game. What do you do when Gibby throws down his shield, what do you do when wraith q's out, how do you react to a wraith running at you in q, do you expect that she is trying to kidnap. How do you counter that?
Do I deserve to win a kill if another character's ability saves them? If you think so then try warzone. Balancing abilities is important but being mad that a medic character can auto rez is kinda crazy when we got people flying out here, people with drones and hand mounted nade launchers.

@LordloshBangHer abilities have been improved, sure. I just don't see why the shield had to go.
You also forget that everyone plays how they want and most of them rush others solo, so as a Lifeline with the shield, it was legit one of the few things that clutched fights.
Now with Valk in the picture, it's easier to counter her. So her losing the shield wasn't needed. Her losing it was so noobs would stop complaining and pour more money into the game.
At this point, my point is that Respawn/EA needs to stop nerfing the skill ceiling just to fit the skill level of a few players who refuse to get better at the game.
Also you tag someone by hitting "quick reply", or @<Their name>, like countering Lifeline, it isn't hard.
You also say do things tactical... Eh?
What happens when you or someone else knocks a player? You or they t h i r s t, usually. What does that mean? Well... This:
Player1 knocked Player2
Player1 killed Player2
You don't get mercy most of the time. Being able to crawl away is luck these days. Either the person killing you got distracted or was 3rd partied. Lifeline's revive shield comes into play here. This is where she can bring you back into the fight, and prevent the loss of you or another teammate. Without the shield, she needs map cover, which most of it is open space. You'll spend more time in a deathbox, than you would of if they left her revive alone. Even if you defend as a Lifeline, your teammates can't defend themselves while being revived. It's either get revived or use the knockdown shield. It's super easy to target the knocked player, and then get Lifeline, or kill the knocked before Lifeline even gets to them.
Have you seen teams without a Lifeline? They lose their teammates all the time, but they use abilities like jumppads, smoke, bubbles, portals to help keep the knocked alive. Those who can't relocate the teammate try their best to defend them. Lifeline's a combat medic, her shield makes sense, and makes losing one easier to manage.
You probably like her shield being gone because you couldn't counter Lifeline teams. Be honest. - CCbathwater4 years agoSeasoned Ace@LordloshBang I can't contain my happiness regarding the huuuuge... buff us Lifeline players got. Hooray or something.
- Midnight97464 years agoHero@CCbathwater the sarcasm is strong with this one. Honestly sure the change in the drone heal helps now, and the care package is better. It's just not like anyone would be dropping them as often due to how easy it is to get ran over by another team. I'm just pretty sure most, if not all Lifeline mains and users of Lifeline wanted her to keep the revive shield, even if it had a rework like one of the things I've mentioned earlier (based on knockdown, wall slow deploys/shrinks), but meh, yippie Lifeline buff!

Does anyone think Lifeline is a nerf?
The missing shield looks like a nerf
Ultimate and tactical skills are buffs.
The shield was too OP
If you save your teammates and use your tactical skills next to you, your teammates can quickly return to the battlefield, so your tactical skill is a buff.

@lKogitsune_marul If you don't see that having a res shield plus reanimating without even being vulnerable 1 second plus still being able to defend or attack the heck out of your enemy is unfair, what can we do?
It was far superior to Gibby's shield, which is a tactical,
she is able to raise both mates like nothing, and raise time is quicker than regular one.
In arenas, I can't count the time I finish the Lifeline or get stuck while fighting her, only to get killed by the raised character who will finish me as I can't do nothing is she takes the damage and shield them.Indeed, that could be me being bad, I admit it, but actually, whatever my skill is, if I am stuck against a comparable player as SBMM *should* do,
I'll get stuck then two-against-one-ed, if second player is smart and take the opportunity to flank me with a burst instead of laying low.
